After been let down by our original b&b we rang here for a place to stay the night. Luckily they were able to accommodate us. We have stayed here before and loved it. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and accommodated our needs. The staff are very friendly and helpful when needed. The breakfast was really nice. Will definitely be returning here more often!

My first thoughts when I opened the door to the B&B was "oh my god, it smells so bad".
The family seem nice but should think about their appearance and really need to sort the smell out in the hall. The rooms are clean and smell nice so I don't know why this can't be done in the rest of the B&B.
It's a cheap place so you can't expect too much but we were pleasantly surprised by the rooms. Good location and the family will do anything to help you out.

As we walk through main entrance family member was stood smoking.. the hall stank of stail smoke... the rooms are nothing like the photos are shown... the rooms smelt awful and had no refreshners in there only empty ones... all the staff were to busy on the laptop when our friends stood outside waited 10 mins until I went down to let them in.. The staff breath stank of smoke.. definitely wouldn't advise anyone to go there... it was okay for what me and my partner and friends wanted it for as we only there to get ready for night out and then wanted somewhere to sleep till we sobered up...but still.. funnily enough in our rooms they said on a sign if we were court smoking we owe them 100 pound yet it was okay for them to smoke in front of us.. was discusted

Firstly Thank you for your review, there are a few comments i would like to respond to,

the "smoking" Yes we do sometimes smoke outside the front of the building as we live on site and do not smoke inside the building i am sorry this has offended you.
the rooms look nothing like the photo`s, the only room that is different is room 12 which is shown online as a twin and has recently been changed to a double.
the room smell, you were advised on booking and again on arrival that we had new windows put in you said it was fine on both occasions.
the laptop comment, as you are aware we run a bed and breakfast with an online booking system which means we have to be online to deal with bookings and emails.
your friends been stuck outside for 10 minutes. this one is rather odd because if someone was sat on the laptop and your friends were stood outside, if they were staying here they would have had a key (as all guests have) if not they would have rung the bell wouldn't they? , we can not be expected to stand by the front door just in-case someone comes to the door and i can assure you if the bell had rung we would have answered it,

again thank you for your review we do take your comments on board

My wife and I stay over in Blackpool at least 2/4 times a year and have stayed in many of the B&B's, Guest Houses and Hotels. This hotel is obviously a budget hotel, and offers average service and facilities for a budget price. The Service was OK, and breakfast was nice although very crammed into a very small basement room, a couple of days some guests had to wait upstairs in the closed bar area to get a seat. The breakfast served was very average compared to others, but was different on 2 occasions with different items missing to what was on the menu. The guy that served us stayed in his coat, and lacked people skills and customer service, we both said thank you after breakfast and we got a stern 'is alrite!' In return. Just didn't seem very friendly. The outside was very tired and drab in urgent need of a re-furb, and the way breakfast is served and their customer service needs attention. Our room was OK, bed was ok again not amazing but satisfactory for a budget hotel, and clean. Bathroom a good size, but shower cubicle was very small. Not sure we'd stay here again or recommend it unless there were some changes made and welcomed back. Overall, satisfactory and could easily be improved.

We would like to thank you for your review, our dining room does seat enough people for when we are at full capacity however this makes it slightly cramped therefore in the busy periods we do sometimes need to ask people to wait a little while to be seated as this is sometimes the case we allow 1 hour sometimes more for breakfast. I am sorry that you felt that service was lacking although i am very proud of the service we offer and most guests do agree if for any reason this was the case please accept my apologies and i will look into the matter, we are also aware that the outside requires repainting which we will be doing over the winter period ready for the new season, we are a low price bed and breakfast and don't describe ourselves as anything different,
i do hope you will come and stay with us again and hopefully we can change your opinion of us as we don't like our guests past present or future to leave un happy.

you are welcome back anytime!!

Just got back from a 2night stay with my two friends. The family who own the hotel are lovely and they all made us feel welcome and were all polite. The rooms were clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was gorgeous and I'm usually fussy, but there breakfast was definitely first class. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and next time I'm in blackpool, I will be booking here again. Thankyou so much from Sophie, Gemma and Rio
