First of all I will say that there was absolutely no fault i could point out towards the staff in this hotel/BnB as they were all friendly, however this hotel (sorry to say) just didn't suit us. We got placed here as we weren't able to stop at Brayton Hotel across the road due to an issue in the room we would have stayed at. This obviously wasn't anyone's fault really, but it was a shame that we couldn't have felt more happier at being placed here.

The first annoyance I found in this hotel was the cramped feel inside. Admittedly this is only a small hotel and therefore didn't expect something huge, but it seemed a difficulty carrying our baggage up the stairway being as it was quite steep and not very wide. Shamly this was the only way to carry the baggage to the room.

The second problem for us was the extremely small bathroom. Again we weren't expecting anything massive, but this was just completely cramped. It was so difficult to shower due to the size of the shower. The water didn't stay hot for more than a minute! The pictures of the hotel on the website didn't match the same as what's in person in my opinion, it was quite disappointing. The hotel room was OK, but again not quite the size we expected.

On a positive note, the breakfast was nice and the bed was very comfortable and there's the added feature of having the DVD player built in the television. If you're like myself though and like that bit of space in a hotel room and bathroom and the hotel in general, then this probably isn't for you. I'd probably say this hotel is more for older people that want that peace and quiet and nothing too big, unfortunately this just didn't do it for us.

Also like to add that we'd stay more nearer to the tower and attractions area next time being as this seems more residential area.

Stayed at the Berwyn Hotel in Blackpool for 2 nights in Seprember 2012, The room was clean and comfortable, The Host was friendly and the breakfast was very good. I would say that it was very good value for the money and I wood stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 14 and our friends in room 13 and we both had a sea view

I have visited the Berwyn 3 times this summer, and I can honestly say that I have yet to find a fault, which, given the very reasonable prices, is no mean feat. It shows that it is worth looking away from the 3 piers to the more attractive parts of the resort. This has beach, views, parks and all the everyday facilities right on the doorstep. The room I had was spotless, and contained those little extras that indicate thoughtful hosts, and the breakfast certainly set me up for the day. Family business takes me to Blackpool frequently, and I am very happy to have found the Berwyn.

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend with our grandchildren. The staff were really helpful and nothing was to much trouble. We forgot to take our towels for the waterpark and they lent us some. Not many hotels would do this. The rooms were very comfortable with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. The free wifi was very useful. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms very clean. Breakfast was served by friendly staff in a very pleasant dining room. The hotel has a lovely feel to it and is really good for families.
As the hotel is by North shore it is nice and quiet at night. The tram stop is nearby but if you take your car into blackpool park on the car park on the corner of Bond st. Turn left by Pablo's fish and chip shop and Tommy Ducks by the South shore pier. You can get a good deal if you pay for a number of days. You also get a 20% discount voucher for the seaside cafe opposite. Great for lunch.

Stayed at Berwyn for 1 night on 28th July. The hotel was in lovely surroundings, we stayed in a room overlooking the gardens / large park which was nice and pleasant as a view outside the window. Derek (Host) is a truly funny and genuine guy. Made our stay very enjoyable from the minute we got there till early hours of this morning !!! We love walking so this was perfect location for us, a nice enjoyable 15-20 minutes sea breeze and fresh air to the main promenade.

Hotel was quiet at night as its located in North Shore but still close enough to walk or get a taxi (5-10 mins) to main attractions. The room was very tidy and bed was very comfortable. The whole hotel had a welcoming atmosphere and people that stayed there whilst we were there were very nice.

Derek has extensive knowledge of the area and places to go in the day/evening. Great hotel for couples, families and mature guests. On the whole a really fantastic hotel, great hosts and we cant wait to go back hopefully for New years eve package. Thank you to Derek and everyone else who works there for a great stay, hope to see you all soon !

Room Tip: Great rooms with a nice view overlooking large gardens.

Just stayed here for 3 nights with my 11 year old daughter and best friend for the Britsh Open golf. Finding a quality place is not easy and this place was perfect. Landlord Derek was a wonderful host and really made our stay. If youre looking for a place to stay in Blackpool this is place to stay!
