Been before and will be going again, you can not fault the Viking Hotel professional staff in all areas, reception, restaurant, bar and housekeeping all work had to give you a trouble free break. Lovely clean rooms that are cleaned every day, great choice of food with self service breakfast but waiter service evening dinner, then there is the 'Talk of the Coast' attached to the hotel with resident compere/comedian (Buddy Hill) fantastic with dancers, singers more comedians great show, when the shows finished you have disco and karaoke, excellent all round entertainment without going out of the hotel and it's adults only children are allowed in the two sisters hotels in Blackpool.

My bedroom door was left wide open by the staff whilst out for the day. Contacted Mario the hotel manager, the next day, as he was not in, he refused to accept any responsibility for this and his attitude was bored and unconcerned did not apologise or seem concerned. The night before was offered a room change by assistant manageress who was very nice and said she took this seriously, unfortunately the manager was so bored he looked out of the window whilst speaking to me. I had a friend witness his behaviour, so very rude. I told him I would give him a bad review, he shrugged his shoulders and said you can do. I did move rooms next night as I now felt insecure in this ground floor room, the lady I spoke to said, but you turned a room change yesterday, I had to explain at the time I didnt want the hassle of a room change as only here for a few nights. After spending another night in this room I felt insecure so decided room change was the best way forward. I was informed would be an extra charge. I spoke to their sales Manager at the reservations in Blackpool who told me there would be no charge and that Mario the Manager had managed the situation very badly. He then apologised to me. Mario you are a very bad manager and certainly not a people person. You need to take a management course on how to speak to your guests.

Great stay at the Viking. Car parking really great and an added bonus that its free for guests. Check was excellent an reception staff really helpful. Room clean tidy if a bit small, adequate for needs. The food was excellent top class food, really can not find fault. The restaurant staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The seats in the cabaret are reserved for you upto 8.30 then they are opened to the public so you can move to an empty seat if you prefer. The evening entertainment was excellent with Mr Buddy Lee on top form, as ever. Can't wait to return for another stay.

Just returned from a mid-week break at the Viking Hotel, stayed at The Claremont a Hotel many times so wasn't sure what to expect. We weren't disappointed, had a really nice room on the third floor, reception staff very helpful, food was lovely, entertainment was fantastic, Buddy Lee very funny guy, a lot of the acts were new which was a big plus when you stay often. We had no problem parking even when returning from a trip out, had a really good break and met some lovely people, and had a lot of laughs

We have stayed several times at the Viking and a great welcome is always assured by the staff. The food was good with a fair variety and selection. The dining room was OK and your table is pre_booked. Very warm inside though so make you dress comfortably. Rooms are clean can be small but OK have to pay extra for the bigger rooms. The concert room is great again your table is pre_booked so you don't have to rush your meal. Fantastic entertainment good old fashioned cabaret loved it with a disco later. The only issue is the stairs down from dining room to cabaret room very steep but you can outside and in through front door and don't go more than once a year cos same acts and same jokesjokes. Overall great weekend met lovely people and right on sea front.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for sea view and more room
