Premier Inn Blackpool East (M55, Jct4) Hotel
Ranked #31 of 73 Hotels in Blackpool
Reviewed 24 August 2012

We stayed in Blackpool East Premier Inn in August while visiting the Pleasure beach. The lodge is about 5 miles from the pleasure beach. The lodge seems to be a newer Premier Inn.
Pros,
Large family room with lovely beds. But the rooms are so hot!!! we opened the door to 2 fans running flat out, if staying over the summer you will need to leave these running overnight as the temp gets to over 27c.
Easy to find just off J4 of the M55 heading into Blackpool.
Not too much traffic noise, and far enough out of Blackpool to avoid the hen and stag parties.
Cons,
As I said about rooms are too hot in the summer the hotel needs aircon.
Breakfast was ok but no better, and I doubt the food at night would be upto much.

My top tip is if visiting the Pleasure beach get a car park pass when booking your tickets on-line, passes are available for £6 for all day (upto midnight) and save £4 if you pay when arriving and saves hassle.

I stayed here earlier in the year and said that I would stay again on my next trip to the area. Unfortunately I had to attend a funeral so it was a last min booking. After a ver long drive the check in was good, helpful and fast. As before the room was excellent but far too hot even with the window open and the fan on. Didn't have breakfast in the Outside Inn, it's an expensive luxury when compared to Tesco and Morrisons.
Once again I would chose this Premier Inn to stay at if I'm in the area.

Great location for access to Blackpool, wonderful friendly staff, clean rooms but far too hot. The reception staff sympathised with our problem with room temperature but all the coolers were being used, they did say that someone was coming in this week to assess temperature problem and hopefully this will rectify problem. Have stayed in the Devere Village and overall this hotel offers better value and much more professional staff. Breakfast great but had a problem with the evening meal but the restaurant is not run by the same company (booked table for 7pm, got table at 7.40 and starters at 8.30)

Room Tip: We were on first floor and the heat hit you as the lift doors opened, maybe the ground floor rooms a...

Excellent staff, can't do enough to help. The room was a good size, spotless with plenty of fresh towels and extra pillows. Bathroom had hand wash and shower gel which I think was a nice touch. Didn't try shower, but bath was great with plenty of hot water. The Outside Inn restaurant next door provided good quality food at a great price. I even found a money off voucher before we went so the meal only cost £32 for a family of 4. The all you can eat breakfast was excellent value at £16.50 for 4 of us, including a cooked to order breakfast. The only complaint I have is about the room temperature. The room had 2 fans and the window was open when we arrived but it was still 29 degrees at bedtime! I was offered a refund but declined as I felt the staff couldn't have done anything else about the heat even if I had complained.

Closets the centre of Blackpool (5 minutes by car), this hotel offers value for money, excellent service, good food in the restaurant, and family friendly. Beware that in the summer the rooms are very hot and humid, the need to get air conditioning. Overall a good choice if on a budget, you will be happy staying here.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights at the offer price of £29 for a family room. This was great value for money, and the location is only a few miles out of Blackpool where we were spending the day time. Other positives were also to do with value - we had dinner and breakfast in the attached pub restaurant...it has a kids play area and a inside play soft area

Room was very warm, but fans had been provided, so they must no how warm it is :) ( building regulations these days!!!)
