Premier Inn Blackpool East (M55, Jct4) Hotel
Ranked #31 of 73 Hotels in Blackpool
Reviewed 24 September 2012

Just returned from a visit to Premier Inn East 4 miles from Blackpool Centre. Everything about this particular Premier Inn was first class. Room spotless, quiet, pleasant staff, excellent breakfast. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing a base for Blackpool and surrounding areas.

Room Tip: Only a two storey building and all rooms would be equal.

Cannot praise the reception staff more highly. Very pleasant welcome and genuine contact at all times. Room very clean and more than adequate. Stayed 3 nights and towels replaced each day. Did note there were 2 fans in the room but we did not need either. It was cool outside and the heating was perfect for us in the hotel. It is a decent drive from the ce ntre of Blackpool but once you find your way round there are no problems in getting to the town centre. Breakfast finished at 9am so we did not bother but there are several places nearby inc luding Morrisons supermarket where you can get a dece nt breakfast. Next door pub restaurant was busy and we ated there one evening. Basic pub grub that was adequate but as a Wacky Warehouse there lots of kids running around, not exactly the sort of place for a nicer quiet meal. Will certainly return to this Premier Inn.

Easy to find just off the end of M55 but remarkably quiet and with larger than expected car park.
Extremely helpful staff and immaculate, clean rooms. Two words of warning. One, the attached pub restaurant is a few miles short of chic and two, as with the majority of Premier Inns, a large
proportion of clients don't understand the word "disabled" or the international wheelchair symbol!

Room Tip: Whilst we did not experience external noise, the rooms overlooking the car park appear the quietes...

Spacious rooms and very clean. Our bed was enormous. My grandson had a single and my daughter, a teenager, opted for the mattress on the floor. We were having a couple of days in Blackpool as we seem to do every year with my eldest daughter, her hub and 3 sons aged 13,10 and 5. Then there was me, my hub and youngest daughter. We did find the rooms a little too warm but this was not a problem-they are obviously trying to sort this out with a couple of fans in the rooms. Lovely 'strong' shower and the gel dispenser is a nice touch. It is a bit of a drive into Blackpool though-a good 10 mins from hotel. The bar is nice and food good-it's a bit complicated as to how the kids eat free but we sorted it (restaurant is Outside Inn). We had got the room for £68 for 2 nights which I consider to be excellent value. Reception staff helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor. I would imagine higher floors would be a lot warmer because of the warm...

Generally stay at Premier Inns across UK for leisure, not too impressed when had to endure fans on all night to cool room, Dinner, waited to be seated, not approached, other guests just walked in & sat down, staff approached them, we went into lounge ran out of real ale, waited 10 mins, returned to be seated, food enjoyable but not the range of other inns, requested a bottle of wine, did not have it, Breakfast, got there just before 9, had to chase staff to order, then had to requested replenishment of coffee, tea, bowls, to eat, a number of tables had not been cleared, but staff were working hard

Hotel was very nice and clean with very good service, however the adjoining restaurant managed to serve us cold food after waiting 20 minutes...How!!! .When we complained they took it away and brought it back within about 30 seconds with the same bits missing that we'd already tasted yet tried to pass it off as a fresh cooked order. How stupid must that manager be and how stupid must he think people are.

Room Tip: Its tough because you will always get selfish idiots coming in late from the adjoining pub,not bothe...

We had 2 rooms for 2 nights booked 26-29 Aug 2012. Check-in efficient and very welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. The room was quite warm but not a problem as fans were provided, although only used briefly, and the window does open. The restaurant next door provides a great breakfast to set you up for the day and also has a lunch/dinner menu that is very reasonable, again with good service.

We found this an ideal place to stay for our short break to Blackpool. It is 4 miles from Blackpool which is around a 10 minute drive. We preferred this rather than staying in the centre but it may not suit some people.
