Premier Inn Blackpool East (M55, Jct4) Hotel
Ranked #27 of 73 Hotels in Blackpool
Reviewed 17 March 2014

As a family of four on Friday 14th March 2014 we spent one night in ground floor room number twenty within the Premier Inn Blackpool east which is located off junction four of the M55 circa fifteen minutes drive away from the main resort area of Blackpool.

Whilst in general the hotel and our room met the usual Premier Inn standards our stay was spoilt by the excessive temperatures that were encountered during the night, when we entered our room we did notice that it contained both a table and free standing fan which we thought was a little strange any not something that we had encountered at previous Premier Inn hotels.

Although we ensured that the heating was switched off in our prior to going to bed, and that the room stat had been set at its lowest temperature of ten degrees we were still awoken by the excessive temperatures that were encountered within the room which peaked at 23.5 degrees despite the fact that we had the window open and both fans running.

To be fair to Premier Inn when we checked out of the hotel and explained the issue that we had encountered we were given a full refund in-line with their good night guarantee which represents a good standard of customer services although this does not prevent future guests encountering a similar issue.

Room Tip: Ensure that the temperature issues that we have encountered have been addressed prior to booking.

Highly recommend this Premier Inn.
We could nt fault it. From the huge comfy bed with it's crisp white linen, to
the wonderful restaurant and breakfast served with a smile.
After helping ourselves to fresh fruit or cereals etc.we had
table service for a main course. My husband enjoyed a large breakfast while I had my diet brown bread toast with poached eg
Staff very helpful and friendly.Only thing missing was a bed room phone, even if it was only there for emergency , i.e. Any one taken ill in the night.
We will be going back in the summer. Have also recommended That Premier Inn to several friends.

We have stayed here many times when we visit family living in nearby Lytham St Annes. The rooms are spacious and clean and are the usual Premier Inn Standard, the beds are large and comfy and there is no noise from the road. It is conveniently placed just off the M55.

We have eaten in the adjoining Fayre & Square restaurant on a few occasions when staying here but the last time we ate there our meals were badly cooked (overcooked fish & chips) so we opted not to eat there this time.

We never eat breakfast at the hotel as we feel it is overpriced at £8.25 each, this is an 'all you can eat' breakfast but there is a limit to how much one can or should eat anyway. We do not understand the Premier Inn policy of offering free breakfasts to under 16s, we could understand it being free for say under 5 year olds but a 15 year old is able to eat the same or more than an adult. We are not prepared to subsidies other guests children (even though we have had 4 of our own) so we always have a full cooked breakfast at the local Tesco supermarket not far up the road which costs £4. In our view a more sensible and fairer pricing policy would be to charge £5 for an adult and £3 for a 5-10 year old.

We will definitely stay here again as it is very conveniently placed for us.

the bedroom and bathroom facilities are spotless at this hotel ,the brekfast was exceptional in value for money with lots of choice hot and cold all you can eat the waitress was very helpfull. The bad was reception as noise from the room above was horrendous children leaping from bed to bed and running around until well after 11 p.m. when i suggested they had been left alone perhaps the receptionist said ''and!!! what do you want me to do about it he was aggressive in his answer .... i found the reception staff very unhelpfull on checking in .

I stayed here 3 nights. My initial room had no hot water, I reported this to reception and along with sincere apology my room was immediately changed.
On the night of 21st Feb, I dropped my mobile phone getting out of the taxi. The night porter, Mike P, immediately ran across the car park, jumped the flower beds and flagged the taxi down and retrived my phone. His actions were well above those expected. I told the receptionist next morning and have also written to Premier Inn and trust that he will be praised by his employers for his actions.
An excellent stay
