Just back from a brilliant weekend in Blackpool @ The Regency Hotel. Where do i start.... Andy is deffo the host with the most, from check in to check out it was a breeze, a great easy going atmosphere, small but functioning rooms that were clean and fresh, no tv in bedroom but there is one in the lounge bar (who really goes to Blackpool to watch tv??) To sum it up clean rooms, comfy bed, power shower (en suite) lovely breakfast, cheap bar, great owner, good location Will be back thanks Andy. From the Scots on the shots :-)

We stayed here last night. It was a terrible experience. We were told around 6pm that the electricity would be going off for about 15 minutes, for some planned work. An hour and a half later it came back on. This was really bad since we were getting ready to go out. No showers, no lights and no straighteners. Only 2 mirrors (1 in the bathroom and 1 in the bedroom), which isn't enough for 4 guests. The rooms were really small too.

Stayed here last weekend. Location is perfect, just a couple of streets back from the tower. On arrival had to leave a £10 deposit for each room key (No issue with this as I can imagine how many keys go missing). Andy was very helpful and bar prices were good - 3 bottles for £5. Our room was quite small for three people but was ok for one nights sleep. Only real negative was no hot water in the morning. Breakfast was great.

Absolutely loved this hotel, price, food and the room was brilliant. The owner Andy was sound, can have a laugh with him, he makes a cracking breakfast and the bar prices on drinks are so cheap, saved us a fortune drinking there before we went out. Deffo recommend :-)

Arrived on Friday, we were a family with 2 boys age 10 and 6 within a group of say another 5 with kids all staying here. Parking just 2 minutes up the road was £8.00 for 48 hours really reasonable. Another team were also booked into the hotel, think it must have in excess of 25 rooms. The rooms were really small and very basic, but they are clean and for a family that is important. Andy who runs the hotel with his wife puts in some hours and was up and arranged early breakfast for us all so we would be fed before out tournament and kept the bar open until you went to bed. (poor soul)

The place is typical of Blackpool, a bit dated many rooms packed in so they are really small and any longer than a couple of nights I'm sure the lack of floor space would have been impossible. There was also no TV but given it was a very active weekend it was not missed.

Andy the owner however is a bit of a mystery, first appearance is well not going to mess with you! However he was absolutely fantastic with the guests, had time for the kids and was a patient man putting up with boys trudging in and out and playing footie out the front and generally nothing was a bother. He put on some samosas for those in the bar on the Saturday, and the drink is just so reasonably prices in fact it was cheap.

It would not be my place of choice if it were us going away, but have to say for the purpose and the ages we had with us it was ideal.

The breakfast is really good, you could easily skip lunch after all that!

Staying at The Regency was part of our weekend and we really enjoyed the weekend

Great run hotel right in the centre of Blackpool. 28 of us stayed here for the weekend and the place, location and the owner Andy was all great. Yes, rooms are fairly small, but very clean, warm and well looked after and the breakfasts in the morning were brilliant. Andy is a top man too, assuring you have a great time and was a fantastic host. If you are looking for a night or 2 away for bdays/ hens/ stags in Blackpool, minutes walk from the main bars/clubs then do not hesitate.
