The hotel is in a good location, right on the promenade near to the central pier. There is a tram stop directly across the road from the hotel. All the staff were very pleasant & helpful from the reception, bar & dining areas. Rooms are basic as you would expect given the hotel rating but clean & fine for the short weekend stay we had. Try to get an upgrade & get a room on the front so you can have a view. We stayed B & B so I cannot comment on the evening meals. Breakfast was buffet style & very good. Evening entertainment is available if you don't want to venture in to towns hotspots. Only negative for me was there is no parking. This is not unusual for promenade hotels & the hotel recommends you try to park in the two streets at the rear of the hotel but this was impossible as we never saw any spaces in these residential areas. There is a pay & display about 5 minutes walk again to the rear of the hotel which cost us £13 for 2 days.
