Spent 2 nights at the Colwyn with 15 family members for a weekend in Blackpool. The hotel is in a very convenient location for the pleasure beach, water complex and the south pier. The tram stop is just outside and you have easy access to the beach. The staff were very friendly and efficient and they were first class as we had to make changes to our numbers and rooms. The rooms were fine, the facilities were good with amusements for the kids, breakfast was very good as was the bar that was open to about 12. All in all a great place for a family break, we will be going back

Room Tip: Go for a Sea View on second floor or above

Stayed here on business one night. Have to say that hotel is possibly like a lot of Blackpool hotels - dated and more than a bit tired. However, staff very pleasant and very helpful, linen appeared nice and clean as were the towels, room tired but clean enough and breakfast very good from a most helpful guy - what more can you expect for £45 ?

Arrived due to a family bereavement to a warm welcome. Hotel is extremely clean, well presented and in a great location. Breakfast was superb, plenty of toast, coffee and everything you would expect and served by a very well mannered and polite waiter, nothing would be too much trouble....full english was excellent and i will definitely stay here again with my family when i next return.

We (2 adults, 2 11yr olds) stayed here 2 nights. We were in room 305, a family room. The room was great, the shower room was a wee bit small but hey, the room and shower room were very clean. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was great, a choice of continental of full english, very tasty. There is a pool table and dart board in the dining/bar area and a ps2 in the smaller lounge area, dvd's and access to a computer, also free wifi. Great location, just a short walk to the Pleasure Beach (our purpose for going). Would stay again.
The only thing we found a bit annoying was that our windows didn't open to get some fresh air in the room, 4 people sharing a room can get a bit stuffy.

me and my husband had a return trip to the colwyn hotel on the 7 october to see the lights as we had stayed there last year and had a good time. We had a good room overlooking the beach complete with flat screen tv. The meals were gorgeous as i always book evening meal when we visit and the breakfast was a full english if wished or whatever you prefer. We are looking forward to staying at this hotel again next year

We booked the colwyn hotel for 2 nights and ended up staying a week as it was brilliant, very friendly and welcoming, food is amazing really enjoyed it. The room was a good size and brilliant sea view. The hotel was nice and clean. You can use the stairs or the lift. The bar is cheap aswell :) we took our 2 dogs they were very welcome. I wish i was still there but we will be going back deffinetly. Best Hotel i have stayed at in blackpool. Oh tram stop right outside too.

Just back from taking our 2 young sons to Blackpool and stayed at the Colwyn Hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel welcome and this continued until our departure. Breakfast was nice and there was lots of it which my sons were very pleased about. The rooms were great for a base in Blackpool and were clean and warm. The Hotel is very close to the pleasure beach and there is a tram stop right opposite so getting around was easy. Will definitely stay again next year!
