We stayed here as a last minute getaway. As a young married couple we looked for something out of the way of the main night life and party scene we wanted to be able to have some R and R as well as seeing what Blackpool has on offer. We chose the "half-board" option the evening "meal" was terrible onion soup that left a vile taste in your mouth followed by pork loin it was ok but didn't shift the onion soup taste. the desert was a very bitter rhubarb crumble and custard accompanied by what they told me was a cup of tea! The room it's self was very basic but we weren't looking for amazing. The bed was large and fairly comfortable, BUT it was roasting could not cool off despite switching the heater off as the heating through the place was so high! Not always a bad thing but it wasn't exactly cold outside! To back this up there was entertainment that went on in to the early hours of the morning (I'm writing this at 1am as I can't actually sleep) the whole of the hotel inside and out is majorly run down! We haven't experience breakfast not sure that we will bother tbh not after the experience of the evening meal. If you like Bad singers low quality of food and a over heating give it a go. Other wise stay well clear!

Just visited the Hackett for my stag doo (16 males). Nothing really to complain about as it done the job we wanted it to do, 24hr bar and somewhere to get a kip. The rooms were certainly not the Hilton however the price we paid reflected this. Very accommodating staff, gave us an extra room as ours didn't have a shower. Didn't see much of the entertainment however what wee did see was good enough. 24hr bar was first class especially for the type of group we were. Breakfast was nothing great however was edible and filled a hole. Fresh linen and towels each day. All staff we encountered were very friendly and accommodating. Didn't have evening meal so couldn't comment. Taxies were very reasonable at around £6-8 to the centre.

Overall as I stated above it is not the Hilton however ideal for what we needed it for.

Price reflects what you get.

Yes I would visit again with a bunch of the lads.

we have just had a weekend at the Hackett York hotel and was very disappointed with the hotel, it was dirty, staff scruffy, on arrival we were early and went into lounge, I used the toilet and had to go to reception to complain that it was dirty, when we were given the key we went upto room anf it stank of tobacco also the bed clanked when you sat on it because it was broke, I said to my hubby who has COPD that we , a housekeeper came with a duvet for us to sleep on (laugh) so we moved to another room which was not seaview as that was what we paid for but it was better than the first room, although not completed it was fine.On Saturday a very large group of men arrived and the noise was horrendous they were quite intimidating vulgar and foul mouthed so we went to bed early, had we know that the hotel allowed groups of men we woild not have stayed.

Staff could not do enough for you , the food very good , the entertainment excellent . The only negative is the creeking floor in room 420 . The position of the hotel is very food for going to Fleetwood or in the opposite direction , really enjoyed the stay .
