this hotel is well run and really looked after by all staff members. rooms were spacious and comfy beds green lights were a bit off putting when based at the front room of hotel and still on till elevenish, the light came through the bedroom window. we went as a family of 7 with three young children who were entertained with the pool table . it caters for all ages however ,entertainment wasnt available every night.the only cirticism is its a long walk to cental pier and tower and trams werent available due to workmen on track.... their are stair lifts for the elderly however the stairs are quite steep and narrow. we had evening meal which was delicious all compliments to the chef good portions and service quick and freindly. overall fantastic accomidation 8 out of 10 defo reccomend it and would stay again....

Stayed 1 night at a hotel from hell and walked out after breakfast. I was so lucky to get the last remaining room at the Stuart.Lovely welcome for myself, teenage son and 4 year old grandson.Room was clean, beds comfortable and breakfast tasty and plenty of it , what more can you ask for?Entertainment was suitable for all ages.Hope to return again and will be recommending to family and friends.(Already recommended to taxi driver on way home!)Only fault I can find -the bathroom was tiny but these hotels have struggled to make every room an ensuite.

Just spent 4 nights here with Urquart Travel. Hotel up to expectations after reading other reviews. Rooms kept spotlessly clean, food superb I challenge anyone not to be able to find something they like on that menu, if they can't then they should go self catering. The only downside is the stais are steep and narrow but there is a stair lift on two of the sets of stairs though this is what makes the second set narrow, saying that we had a gentleman with an artificial leg who managed to walk the first set them slowly with his crutches. We had entertainment on two nights whitch was of a good standard.Bingo & pub quiz on another night if you fancied it. All in all a good break.

Was told when I phoned to book that there would be entertainment every night, but was very disappointed after staying for 5 nights and no sign of any entertainment. In fact the place was deserted but we were still put in a room at the back of the hotel that overlooked the boiler house which made a hell of a racket switching on and off all night!!
The plus side of our visit was that the hotel was clean and the meals were very good - but just don't expect any entertainment!

Just returned from Urquhart's trip to Blackpool staying at the Stuart Hotel. Only bad thing was not having a lift but stair lifts have been installed which did help. Staff nice and friendly, great choice of meals which were excellent along with the service. Entertainment was first class.
