“Great value for money”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2014 via mobile

This was out first stay at the Claremont and we couldn't fault
1 thing about it.
The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Our waitresses for the week were great. The food was fantastic and the entertainment couldn't not be faulted either - we even won on the bingo a few times :)
Would definitely go back.

The Claremont, is your typical Blackpool Hotel, They offer an all inclusive deal for a weekend stay. This includes all food and Drink, yes all Drink!

The accommodation was knocked around the edges, but not too shabby. The Bar selection was superb, if the drink you wanted wasn't included then it was £1. £1 for a measure of Glenfiddich or Disaranno then you can't really go wrong. Same for a pint of San Miguel or Guinness.

The offer is very good if you want cheap cheerful no frills break way.

Can it improve?

The food was a touch hit and miss, basic things like gravy or sauces should not be that hard to get right and during the same service you had really good and really bad, its a lottery on what you order. This really let the evening meal down for me, the other meals, Breakfast and Lunch are self services from a buffet style set up. Very good produce cooked properly where you could eat as much or as little as you liked.

I would like to give special praise to our waitress for the weekend her name was Laura and she is a credit to the hotel. I think this girl could teach a lot of the other members of staff a thing or two about customer service. Well done Laura, and thanks again from the table of 5 with the ginger pudding hoover!

Facilities are good, very good pool with Jacuzzi. Relaxed environment but not supervised for kids, this was not a problem for us.

Comfortable Lounges with quiet areas. The Entertainment room was too hot to stay in for any length of period for me, So I didn't see any during our stay.

Room Accommodation. Room 118. Family Room.

Please can you sort out the toilet in room 118, if you cant sort it out then at least warn guests or offer an alternative. This was a family room the toilet sits so close to the bath tub that its unusable. I am not even sure it meets building regs but there you go.

Decor is a touch dated but it was clean and the room staff were helpful when asking for additional item pillows etc

One major crit was poor response from the hotel management toward our neighbour who was smoking out of the window, I reported them twice and nothing seemed to put them off. May I suggest if you have a penalty notice then you enforce it so that the selfish act of one guest doesn't ruin the stay of others. On two occasions it was reported about smoking which suggests nothing was done the first time and no penalty was charged..

Would I stay here again ? No. Would I recommend it to others ? Yes.

Room Tip: Read a few reviews to check on the room size especially the loo.

This was our third visit in eleven months :) , I could not leave a review last time as Tripadvisor states you can not leave 2 reviews in six months for the same hotel , but just to let you know our second stay was just as good as the others.
We got a part sea view room on the fourth floor, a great room, unfortunately no hot water coming through the shower head. When reported to Tricia at reception she apologised and had a technician to check it out immediately. It turned out to be fault that could not be rectified straight away.....so what did she do? offer us an upgrade to a sea view room !
It is not often you come across such excellent service now days. Thank you Tricia.
Okay , now for the hotel review.
As always staff very welcoming , Antonio gave us a table in the sun lounge first time we had one of those it was great. We had arrived earlier then the start of the all inclusive , it is a drive of just over 200 miles and paid for a couple of drinks at the bar....it is amazing the amount of people that sat there (no drinks) waiting for the free drinks.
The food at all meals was a treat , always an excellent choice for dinner. Breakfast for me always conisted of a couple of poached eggs plus bacon or sausages or tomatoes or beans....it's making me hungry just writing about it. Chris , our waiter , was very attentive and efficient.
The bar staff Stuart, Alex, Josh, Peter & James to name a few were very fast on the service side , if there was a downside I would say that the tables throughout the day could be cleared and cleaned more often.
Being school half term their was quite a few children at the Claremont so the comedians in the evening entertainment "toned things down" but were still very funny. The singers were your expected cabaret acts....talented but not made the big time.
We did not use the pool as it seemed to be full of kids most of the time. I'm glad they had fun and it was not a problem as I did notvisit Blackpool to use the hotel pool.
Other staff and management to mention : Marcus and Sandra , duty managers.
Chloe , Jade and of course Tricia at reception ( and the other lads and lassies on there)
The housekeeping staff kept our room clean and had fresh towels daily, I had to turn the radiator off a couple of times as the room got too hot....in February at Blackpool !!
Lastly must say that Ryan , the resident compere , was no good at calling the bingo numbers.....I did not win once ...lol it was fun though.
We will visit again later this year with some friends, just need to sought the dates for my "special birthday".
Once again thank you Claremont Hotel , Blackpool.

Room Tip: First floor rooms above the Adam Room , where the entertainment is held , no good if you want an ear...

We always stay at The Claremont. Every time it surpasses our expectations. Great staff, fantastic food and brilliant entertainment. The food really is fab. Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner, a mouth water treat awaits! You won't leave hungry, infact you'll do well to find room for the next meal! The staff are brilliant, attentive and friendly. Love this place, we will definitely be back soon!

Yet another good stay at the Claremont, 9 in our party, celebrating a milestone birthday for one of us. The hotel stays much the same with good food and hospitality second to none. One of our party had a special dietary requirement which was catered for excellently. The hotel in general is clean but slightly knocked about the edges. The entertainment team were first class with the daytime team providing good team games to play - we had a riotous time one morning with other guests. The all inclusive option is very good although some do take it to excess. The bedrooms are clean but some bathrooms are very small and you need to be dexterous to negotiate bathing. On the downside, toilets are downstairs, accessed via stairs or a lift which can leave less abled people stranded if, as happened when we were there, the lift was out of use for an hour. The only other thing to disappoint us was the birthday boy's birthday wasn't announced despite us putting the obligatory request in, therefore he was denied the special treatment others received who were celebrating birthdays or anniversaries.

Room Tip: Some rooms on the first floor are above the ballroom so if you are a light sleeper and like to go to...
