“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2014

We stayed in The Kenley for 2 nights over the August Bank Holiday and after having read some of the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor decided that it was well worth booking. All the rave reviews were not lying!

After arriving reasonably early at about 10am we expected to be told that our room was not ready however we were delighted to be told that it was available for us. After a complimentary cup of tea and biscuits we went up to our room. We booked one of the two luxury rooms as the price was still very good when compared to others.

The room was excellent. Everything we needed was there; a delicious bed, tea/coffee making facilities and plenty of tea/coffee/treats.

The thing with this hotel is that the owners seem to have gotten everything right. The most important things to me are cleanliness and the feeling that you aren't being milked for everything you're worth whilst you're on holiday. The owners of The Kenley have got these two things spot on. Everywhere is absolutely spotless; the rooms, the common areas and everywhere in between. Nothing really seemed like it was too much trouble. Breakfast was included in the price and it was as tasty as any other I have eaten. I could overhear people ordering exactly what they wanted and they received exactly that. I asked for a cup of tea each night to sit outside with and it was bought to me in a matter of seconds. The prices of the bar in the lounge area were very cheap, again, it looks like they are less bothered about making lots of money and more concerned about remaining popular.

If I had to pick one thing to improve on it would be the wi-fi which is free but did not have a very strong signal in my room on the second floor so I did struggle to use my phone in the room. A small gripe and one that could easily be improved upon.

Overall in terms of the quality and value I would rank this as the best hotel I've ever stayed in and I would recommend it to everyone. It is located centrally and so isn' far away from the main attractions as well as a tram stop being at the end of the road.

Room Tip: Choose a luxury room as they are great value.

We hadn't been to the Kenley or Blackpool for about 6 years, but we always loved the high standard from this hotel. When we booked Tony & Mike recognised our names and remembered us. So when we arrived it was wonderful to see them again. With our previous visits we knew what to expect, but this time we were blown away by the improvements they have made and the even higher standards of the rooms (1 for me and the wife and 1 for our son). The breakfasts were excellent however, I did miss my desserts which were available when evening meal were on the go!!
The only downside for us was the length of stay was too short we would have loved to have stayed longer. We won't be going to any other hotel in Blackpool as everything else will not live up to the standard of the Kenley.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent, but don't hang about deciding as there are not many rooms

We tried to book here last year and we missed out and on arrival last week, we found out why! Got to say that the Kenley is without doubt, the best place we've stayed in. Mike and Tony have certainly got a hotel that is beautifully presented and decorated. The decor was modern and wonderfully tasteful. It felt like everything was thought of in our spotless bedroom - from the hospitality tray, memory foam bed, Smart tv and free wifi and the fantastic Dyson air conditioner! It was my partner's Birthday during our stay and we had a wonderful surprise when we came down for our lovely cooked breakfast. Banners, balloon, Birthday card and a box of chocolates were a very nice touch. Her full English Breakfast was even served with a candle playing "Happy Birthday," My daughter and I were especially taken by the marine fish tank - and put that next to the bar.... who could ask for more :-) We were absolutely gutted to leave after our 4 night stay. Would definitely recommend the Kenley to everyone. An absolutely fantastic hotel. Thank you Tony and Mike!

We spent 10 days at the Kenley in July. After many years staying here it still gets better every visit. Would recommend this hotel to everyone....wouldn't stay anywhere else in Blackpool.

My mum, niece and I have just returned home after our stay in this wonderful hotel. It was our first time staying here, we had booked it after reading such wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor. I must say, it totally lived up too and exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by Tony and Mike when we arrived and were made to feel totally welcome and at home. Our rooms were just stunning, mum and I were in room 9 which was the super king, so much thought had been put into the decor and the wee extra's. The bed was huge with crisp white bed linen and fluffy pillows. it was like sleeping on a big cloud! It was also immaculate and the whole place just smelled so clean. The breakfast's were out of this world, so much to choose from in a beautiful dining room. Everything was so fresh and tasty. We have been lucky enough to stay in a good few 5 star hotels around Britain and I can honestly say, everything about this hotel is on par with any one that we have stayed in. Even the street it is on, is so nice and just has a nice, friendly, safe feeling about it. Very handy too for all the attractions. Tony and Mike totally deserve all their awards, as they are the heart of this place. We would'nt dream of going anywhere else now in Blackpool, we have found a little piece of heaven and can't wait to visit again.

Room Tip: All rooms are stunning. I would book a space in car park just incase you can't get parked in the...

We chose this lovely little hotel after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor - and we weren't disappointed. From the moment we entered the very fragrant entrance, we were delighted with all aspects of the hotel & attention from the owners, Mike & Tony. Our room was squeaky clean with tea, coffee, hot chocolate & snacks provided, & there was plenty of toiletries & fluffy towels in the shower room. The breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice, & beautifully presented. We have travelled extensively & would definitely give this hotel a 5 star rating.

If you happen to be there this summer, try to get tickets to see Mamma Mia at the Winter Gardens Theatre. It was brilliant.

We stayed three nights at the Kenley and thought the hotel was wonderful. Tony and Mike are really friendly and make you feel welcome from the outset. The hotel is modern and clean and our room was no exception with a big confortable . There was a terrific breakfast menu and the food was great. I would Definitely recommend the place to anyone.
