“Best Hotel in Blackpool”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 November 2013

i stayed at the baron for the second year in a row, to visit the Blackpool illuminations.
I would say it is the cleanest hotel in Blackpool. My sea view room was stunning, right down to the towels folded to look like swans, such a nice touch. this is a hotel where attention to detail is paramount,. Everything is perfectly organised, checking in, checking out, it is all run in a most professional way by the owners, Marion and Geoff, ably assisted by Bob and Anita.
Breakfast service was very good indeed as were the breakfasts, I had the Eggs Benedict on my first day and the full English on my second day. Both breakfasts were first class, hot and delicious with good ingredients. All in all a perfect holiday stay

Room Tip: always choose a double sea view room

Lovely clean rooms and bedding , we had a sea view, great spacious on suite, breakfast was excellent and the guy who waited on table was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, I asked for extra toast and it was there in flash, me and Kim were there this week Mon and Tues, and really enjoyed our two night break. Being as our kids are grown up it was really nice not to have to put up with other peoples unruly offspring. When we return to Blackpool,, IT WILL BE AT THE BARON.

Room Tip: only stayed in one room so cannot comment on the others,

Easy to find just a few hundred yards north from the north pier.
Easy to park, the owner was very helpful to accommodate even though it can be busy.
Friendly owners always willing to offer help and advice about what to see and do in and around Blackpool.
Comfortable room with all the usual facilities.
Easy access to all Blackpool attractions, ten minutes walk, but is far enough away to avoid all the seafront night noise.
Great breakfast cooked to order with plenty to eat.

Room Tip: Book early to avoid disappointment.

13 dancers staying here for our annual visit to the Tower Ballroom. Over the last few years we have stayed in other B&B's in Blackpool but never liked them very much. As the organiser I was struggling to find one that everyone in the group liked. This year I succeeded! We Fri-Monday and the staff were great. Very welcoming, very helpful with restaurant recommendations, they organised taxi's for us & did more than expected to make us feel at home. The breakfasts were the best I've tasted in Blackpool. Piping hot, tasty (not cheap catering food), sausages were spicy & tasty, bacon crispy on request & toast was replenished if we wanted more. The rooms were clean & tidy, furniture a bit dated but totally functional. During our 3 night stay our towels were replaced, as were the tea & coffee & our rooms were cleaned. The bathrooms were clean & modern & the showers lovely and warm. Location was walking distance to the Tower (or tram stop just outside if preferred).
All in all this is by far the best place we have stayed in Blackpool so far & I'm so relieved to finally find a B&B which lives up to it's star rating and I don't see any reason to look for another place next year. We all agreed to book again for 2014.

The room was very dated brown and cream dust on the mirror and hanging off the picture frames. There was no decaf coffee in the room we had no biscuits in our room over our stay. Bed was large and slept very well. Bathroom was very good. We started the bottle of water did not get a replacement. The breakfast the coffee was week and just warm toast was cold the sausages were cheep catering sausages the eggs were very small mushrooms were out of a can very disappointing. The bar prices were very high crisps 75p a coffee was £2.95 the coke was flat very poor. We paid £80 per night for the 2 of us we stayed for 2 nights. We left feeling ripped off we think the owners were cutting as many corners as possible to save money. Charging as much as possible for the extras this is not what you expect from a 4star hotel. We will not recommend this hotel any one we will not be back. We went on the good reviews never over look the bad ones please.

We stayed here as two couples for a weekend break and found the staff to be most helpful and attentive, the rooms were comfortable, en-suite immaculate and breakfasts freshly cooked to order. The staff knowledgeable about local attractions and recommended places for evening meals. All round we had a pleasant visit and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the town, its location is only about 10 mins walk from the tower so close enough for local amenities but far enough away from rowdy crowds.
