“Great Location, Great Room, Great Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2013

Very nice small, boutique hotel, close to North Pier and Metropole Hotel. Close to Tram. Sea view from outside hotel. Outside seating area. Close to pubs and clubs and health spas but quiet when you want to sleep. Very pleasant light, airy, rooms and very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful - offered to carry my luggage to room and were concerned that I had had enough to eat at breakfast. Multiple staircases within hotel so if you have mobility problems ask for a ground floor room. Extremely limited parking at hotel - you will probably have to pay for on-street parking (nearby car park is expensive, but there are cheaper car parks further afield if you don't mind walking). Good value and highly recommended.

Room Tip: Multiple stair cases within hotel, so ask for a ground floor room if you have mobility problems.

We decided on a quick night in Blackpool on Wednesday. Booking easily on the phone. £50 for the two of us, B&B, in their 'Elton John' room. So we arrived, nice chap welcomed us, and showed us to our room. It was really nice! I stay in a lot of four and five star hotels with my work and this room was akin to those. It was very tastefully decorated and furnished. Not what it's name implied at all! Comfortable bed, Great pressure in the bathroom shower, and clean.
We unfortunately as a couple had a little spat (very unusually) and had to wake the owner to get into hotel at 1am. I wouldn't have been to impressed! Our apologies guys.
A great hotel which I'd be shouting from the rooftops about.

This is a very easy review to write. Just come back from my birthday weekend stay at Chaps. It's a total gem of a place. A warm welcome upon arrival, the management couldn't be more accommodating. The room ( the bette midler suite) was light, bright, clean modern and comfortable. As were the public areas. The breakfasts were really good and you certainly didn't leave the table feeling hungry. You weren't rushed to get in and out of the dining room. On the second night we decided we decided to sample the evening menu, which proved to be a good choice. Again the management were attentive and eager to please.

If you are planning a visit to Blackpool and want to take the uncertainty out of where to stay, I would say make the wise choice and book yourself in here i'm sure you wont regret it.

Am already planning my next stay.

The owners are lovely, they made us feel really welcome. We asked them were to eat and they gave good suggestions. We stayed in the Bette Midler Suite which was really nice, clean, modern, a very comfortable bed and I loved the bathroom.

Breakfast was a really yummy full English and as much toast as you'd like, a really nice start to the day.

The location of the hotel is brilliant, its near the north pier and is in walking distance of all the main attractions. Its also round the corner from all the gay bars, pubs and clubs.

The bar is nice a clean with a good selection of drinks and really good service.

Chaps was such a nice stay we would recommend to any one thinking about staying in Blackpool, we will definitely be paying it another visit.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Room was fairly spacious and clean. Only downside was smell of stale smoke.
Hosts very friendly and attentive.
Would recommend and good value.
Didn't sample the breakfast as not up in time but other guests commented on excellent.
Great bar area and excellent socialising space.

We have just return from a two night stay at Chaps and like the majority of the reviewers would not consider staying anywhere else in Blackpool. The host are friendly, professional and clearly take a lot of pride in their work. We stayed in the James Dean room...crisp contemporary decor, sleigh bed, mini bar and an en-suit that Alex Polizzi could eat her dinner off. The breakfasts were almost perfect the only thing I missed was fresh coffee - you're already a marathon ahead of the competition though! Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Room Tip: James Dean room is at the side of the house which is not overlooked and free from any noise from the...

We stayed here the last 2 nights and must say it is by far the best hotel in blackpool the place is spotless excellent food and the rooms are just perfect , we wont be stopping anywhere else on our trips to blackpool from now on. All the other guest house owners should go and have a look round chaps and learn how its done.
