“Good B&B”
Reviewed 14 August 2012

I stayed here for 2 nights earlier this month on business. Whilst the single room I stayed in was tiny, it was very clean, well furnished/decorated and of appropriate size for the price paid during peak holiday season. The staff were friendly, but not overbearingly friendly (a trait which i find to be very irritating and very common up north). The bar had some good mid-range whiskeys, the cooked breakfast was excellent (no grease) and the location very convenient (30 seconds from train station). I tried hard to think of a reason to downgrade my rating to 4/5, probably because Blackpool as a resort does not appeal to me in the slightest, but to be honest I couldn't come up with one. Congratulations must to the owners for running a such a tight ship.

Hello and thank you for taking time to review the Corona, we understand guests have a huge selection of hotels, B&B'S and guest houses in Blackpool and we appreciate your company booking accommodation for you. The single room you were in is compact and our price of £45.00 per night is a fair price, I believe it served your needs just perfect. When I spoke to your colleague who booked it she mentioned a well known big hotel near us wanted £500.00 for 2 rooms for the same dates, although we can not compare ourselves to the larger hotels, we do match them on style, quality and above all Value. Keep in mind next time you are on business, we do offer double bedrooms for single occupancy at a small supplement, or our deluxe/superior rooms for only £20.00 more per night if booked direct by phone.
Thank you
Paul

We have just been to the Corona for the weekend, it is without a doubt one of the best b&b's we have stayed in. On arrival, after easily parking car directly in front of hotel,we were warmly welcomed by Paul. Our first impressions was that the place was spotless, well maintained and tastefully furnished.
Paul showed us to our family room,it was outstanding,it was modern, fresh, comfortable beds, big white fluffy towels.(Perfect!)
Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice. On one evening we had a relaxing night sitting in the lounge area,(after a long day at the pleasure beach!) My son played pool and made friends with the other children. We would like to say a huge big thankyou to Richard, other members of staff but especially Paul for their hospitality.

Thank you, thank you, and thank you for the great review, it is as warming for us to read your reviews as your stay with us is to you. And, just like your son said, it feels like home, that's a compliment if ever there could be one. We love the thought of families feeling safe in the Corona and know we offer that little bit more than the other accommodation providers in Blackpool, we have invested and worked to improve our hotel over 12 seasons and we are still completing projects and planning our future projects. in 2013, we will have 4 bathrooms fully refurbished along with a new main boiler, so all these improvements add up to a better experience for all our guests.
We look forward to welcoming you all back to the Corona in the future.
Paul & Richard.

just been to this hotel for my birthday and can honestly say it is one of the best hotels we have stayed in in england . we had a warm welcome and had a twin room as no doubles were avaliable . (this was no problem ) this hotel is SPOTLESS . the beds are soooo comfy .the staff and the owners are great and friendly . we went to town and richard gave us great information about travel ( tram ticket £4.50 for all day ) and where to go in town. we had booked funny girls and had a great night out .
the breakfast was presented lovely there was plenty to chose from . we had a full english on sunday and on monday i had scambled eggs on toast. IT WAS ART ON A PLATE !!!! please use this hotel you won't be disappointed. paking is not a problem as you can park safely on the road for free if the carpark is full .

Thanks for the great words, its amazing that guests take time to review the Corona and it is so much appreciated. Comfy beds... we have introduced 8 new beds in the past year, and keep upgrading where necessary.
"Art on a plate" that's an outstanding way to describe scrambled eggs, but its the way we would love things to be if we stay in a hotel, either in this country or abroad, sadly, it doesn't happen often.
So, I guess you will be returning? Well, we will look after you just as well.
Thank you so much.
Paul

This hotel was a pleasure to stay in. Very clean and tastefully decorated. The owners, Paul and Richard were extremelyy friendly. Didn't see much of Richard as he was away on social visiting for a few days. Paul even carried the cases to the room, a great help. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. Before I left Paul even phoned for a taxi for me. If I return to Blackpool I will definitely be staying there and I will recommend it to all my friends. A great experience all round. Well done Paul and Richard.

What a fantastic hotel! If you are looking for a hotel which is clean, tidy, beautifully decorated, with friendly staff, a great atmosphere and excellent value for money, i would highly recommend The Corona. The owners Paul and Richard made us feel so welcome and made our stay in Blackpool an absolute pleasure. The hotel is in a great location and just a short walk from Pleasure Beach. The breakfast was lovely with a good choice and I would definately stay in this hotel when i visit Blackpool again.

We stayed for one night only as a stopover on the way back home and I must say it was an amazing experience. A very warm welcome, superb room, very clean and comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer!! Breakfast was pretty good, I'm not full breakfast person but my husband enjoyed it a lot. We've enjoyed Blackpool for this short visit and want to come back and will be definately booking here again, no other place to stay for us :)
