“Another Great Holiday At Blackpools Finest!”
Reviewed 3 September 2013 via mobile

Just got home after 4 nights at the Corona in Blackpool. Once again the hotel lived up to expectations and in fact each time we come we see improvements, rooms that were totally acceptable yet have been revamped and standard rooms just become much more than that. The food is as good as ever and the service second to none. Lovely friendly atmosphere with a proffessional couple at the helm. Well done Paul & Richard you should be very proud of yourselves and your team for remaining one of Blackpools top attractions. Heres to our next stay and to those looking for a great base in Blackpool you will be hardpushed to find better so what are you waiting for? Get booking and pack your bags and get ready to becoming a Corona regular....

Thank you so much for getting to work on your review as soon as you stepped off the train. You haven't wasted any time at all. We are grateful that we have been able to take care of you over the years and have got to know you both, As you know we love our job if you can call it that, it's more of a lifestyle, and every day we have the pleasure of meeting a huge and diverse amount of people, so being able to take time out with you both after getting to know you year on year was a treat for us to relax with you both. You are very kind speaking so highly of the Corona and yes, we are always putting money back in the business to improve bedrooms, public areas and of course staff training.
Thank you again, Paul Richard & Reece

After being let down by another hotel we were supposed to be booked into, we were welcomed into the Corona without any fuss. Having been to Blackpool many times (more than ten year ago) I had known Blackpools hotels to be run down and very dated. The corona was neither, the rooms and bedding were upto date with plasma TV's on the wall. Clean is an understatement, not a spec of dust in the room or other areas of the hotel. Absolutely immaculate. The host is very friendly and food was fab! Great service and well worth the money plus right next to the pleasure beach! We will defo stay again!

Thank you so much for the time you have taken to review the Corona. I know we were not your original choice, but saying that, I believe you were relived that it worked out the way it did. I hope we do see you return to the Corona and that you continue to share your experiences to your family and friends. Thank you.

Stayed at the Corona with my family for a long weekend at the end of January and we was all very impressed. The hotel is nicely decorated and the effort into the set up and presentation is clear to be seen and the room was ideal for us. The breakfast was a highlight as the choice was superb and very tasty too! Paul and the breakfast waiters were all very good especially for catering for one of us who needed gluten free. The team are very customer service focused and very friendly too. The location right at the back of the pleasure beach was great as it was a few minuets walk to the beach, tram stop and 5-10 min form pleasure beach main entrance, sandcastle and south pier. Parking was all on street with a few spaces on front, but its not a problem.

Very good hotel and will certainly be back

Thank you so much for the great words, we are so proud of all our efforts over the past 12 years to bring the Corona up to this standard, but as we said to you, we are not finished yet, we have another project on the go in October for our family room on the first floor. I do hope we see you back, and remind your daughter we have family rooms, or larger rooms for when sh has the baby.
I look forward to you joining us again, and we can arrange a first floor room for your wife too.
Paul & Richard.

Hello and thank you for the review. We read and reply to all our guests comments and take them on board. We are aware the rooms are cosy, compact or small, whatever way its said, it all means the same and unfortunately they are what they are. We would love to increase the size of the rooms, but we are all en suit, flat screen TV;s and above all, modern and very clean, I hope that made up for the smaller rooms.
Than you so much,
Paul

Well after many trips to Blackpool and many a stay in different B&Bs although rated 4 star my expectency wasnt great or over enthusiastic. What a surprise the place is spottless, the hosts Paul & Richard were fantastic, I think Richard prefers the behind the scenes tasks rather than front of house where Paul is in his element.he is everywhere you look its as if he has a sixth sense and is awaiting your next request ,nothing is too much trouble,We stayed in a family room which yes is a liitle small but not too small (these are already planned for refurb to enhance the layout) was also Immaculate and dressed everyday regardless of how you leave it.The menu for the evening meals were small but a well balanced choice and catered for most tastes and was always well presented and beautifully cooked ,the breakfast was also perfect and plentiful, even the tea and coffee is supplied in a pot so your not restricted to a single serving. Although I wont admit it and I am from a normal working class background my wife says im a snob and like the best from everything the CORONA does not fail to impress ,it has a top class branded name feel to the atmosphere yet is small enough to be personal ,TOP MARKS WELL DONE

Stayed with my family for 3 nights and booked the family annexe which was absolutely perfect with 2 separate bedrooms rooms and a shared bathroom. Ideal for us as it gave us and the children our own space and privacy. The rooms were tastefully decorated and comfortable, a delicious breakfast each morning with lots of choice including a children's cooked breakfast which was great for our youngest. Paul & Richard were fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome. All the staff here are very friendly and helpful, providing us with details of what was going on in the area and booking our taxi at night. The bar is the perfect place for a drink and we made use of the sun terrace which is a relaxing little area outside from the bar. We did not try the evening meals although if breakfast was anything to go by I'm sure these would be excellent also. Will be recommending this hotel to all friends and family and will definitely stay here again.
Rachel, Robert, Sophie and Kathryn :)

Thank you all at the Corona!
