when we arrived at this hotel paul the manager greeted us with a smile and was very helpful and also letting the children eat his choclates. when we arrived in our room number -24 it was VERY clean and comfortable with plenty of room even though there was 1 double and 2 single beds in the room . in the evening we became a bit peckish about 9.30 so we ordered some sandwhiches and crisps to take up to our room which paul kindly made for us even though the hotel had stopped serving food , the ham sandwhiches were great and chips were good too we also got crisps with the sandwhich which i thought was a little something extra and coleslaw,,, we were spoiled.
We went down for breakfast at 8.30 and we were swiftley served by paul and we ordered our breakfast how we wanted it ,,,, ive got to be honest and say that i didnt really like the pork sausages i thought they were a bit cheap and also the mushrooms were tinned not fresh and being a commis chef of the year i was a bit let down by that ,,,,, Overall this hotel was great and in a great location would definatley come back on another visit to sunny old blackpool and maybe with no kids and try out the luxery room ,,,hope this helps

On the 22nd of May 2010 a party was organised at the corona hotel for Emma’s 18th birthday. The whole hotel was decorated to the theme of Hollywood glamour there were over 50 guests and there was gorgeous food and stunning decorations, the whole hotel was done nicely. Paul and Richard couldn't do enough for everyone and really made the night unique. So glad that the corona hotel was chosen for this event.

Thank you Paul and Richard for making my girlfriends Birthday party one of a kind, superb 11/10! Friendly and lovely owners.

Strongly recommend this hotel!

My family and I stayed at the Corona for the first time and it will NOT be the last. We were celebrating a friends 18th birthday. The whole experience from the disco to the fantastic buffet the owners prepared was outstanding.
The owners and staff could not have done any more for anyone to make there stay a re-memorable one. All I can say is if you require a well maintained, very clean, warm welcoming and with great food in an excellent location to party in Blackpool the Corona is the place to be !!!!
The Corona is a credit to the owners !!

*Spotlessly clean throughout! Stylish & modern decor. Relaxing atmposphere.
*Right beside the Pleasure Beach (although in a quiet area-A+)
*My daughter & I shared a standard twin which again was impecably clean, modern decor, complimentary mineral water, tea & coffee facilities(replaced daily), en-suit was spot on, extra large towels supplied daily if required, complimentary shower gel & soap, central heating as reqired, tv with feeview.
*Excellent service. Owners made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked through the door. Nothing was too much trouble. Paul & Richard were most approachable and friendly :)
*Breakfast-huge choice! All cooked fresh from quality ingredients.
*Evening-Snacks & light meals available. Very reasonably priced, freshly prepared, again quality food. Bar prices & selection great.
*Excellent value for money ( We got a fab deal from laterooms.com)
*No noise disturbances from other guests or out side. Very quiet, how we like it.
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL! WE WILL BE BACK :) 5*****

What are your expectations of decent bed-and-breakfast accommodation in Blackpool?
Well, a good-quality bed would be a start, of course, and a breakfast that sees you meet the day with a warm glow is pretty important, too.
In that regard, put your trust in the Corona. My wife and I have just returned following a four-night booking, and were delighted with every aspect of our stay.
Owners Paul and Richard could not have been more welcoming hosts. You might have thought we were long-lost friends on arrival rather than first-time guests.
We had upgraded to a "superior" room on Clifton Drive and No 20 did not let us down, with bathrobes, slippers and free mineral water provided, as well as an "enhanced" bathroom with a piercing, hot shower.
Not a trace of dust on any surface, and that cleanliness was matched in every public room in the Carlton. Very reassuring.
We were blessed with pleasant weather during our stay and made good use of the hotel's small beer garden, which catches the sun from 2pm onwards. Well enclosed, you'll warm to this spot even if the wind gets up.
No need to paint a picture of the breakfast. Top end was "full English", and very filling it proved, too. All manner of variations are available, including vegetarian - perish the thought!
Paul proved a mine of good information, and will talk until the cows come home. Perfect host.
The Corona has only 22 bedrooms, so the personal touch is ever apparent if you are staying there.
I cannot give the Corona five stars, for it does not have a lift and the 27 steps to the top floor are no bargain for those with mobility problems.
However, it is genuine three-star accommodation, and well deserving the extra star I bestow it.
If you are looking for a B&B that does Blackpool proud (as well as Paul and Richard) make tracks for the Corona.
