My wife and i booked into the moorings for a two day stay to take in a show. When we walked in Phil And Elaine the owners greeted us with a huge smile and made us feel instantly welcome. Our room had a sea view and was clean and comfortable as was the hotel throughout. The location is great away from hustle and bustle of the town but near enough to stroll in. The food is great. We had B B & Evening meal and i can assure you Phil makes sure no-one leaves the table hungry. This was probably one of the friendliest places we have stayed in.

The Moorings is set back from Queens Promenade overlooking Gynn Gardens. On arrival you will be greeted by either Phil or Elaine (the owners) who will escort you to your room. The rooms are quite spacious and many of the rooms have a view over the gardens looking down towards the promenade. Breakfasts are large and satisfy the biggest appetite, although you can ask for smaller portions. The food is freshly prepared by Phil who is an excellent cook (I'd call him a chef but he'd start wearing a big white hat!) The evening meal, if booking half-board, is of equally high quality and quantity & is well worth the money. We have been to several other guest houses in Blackpool but none compare to The Moorings. We return to see Phil & Elaine quite often and are always sure of a warm welcome. Highly recommended!

I have just returned home from a 7 night stay at The Moorings and I must say how lovely it is.

The hotel is in the nicest part of Blackpool - Gynn Gardens. Many of it's rooms overlook the gardens and the sea - mine included - and it was fabulous to look out of the window at the view each morning! I only decided to check this place out seeing as my usual has now sadly closed and I thought it may be expensive as it's so nice but it was very reasonably priced!

The owner, Phil is so friendly and would help with anything. You can tell how much he puts into the hotel because it really shows. Also the waiting staff are helpful and cheery.

My room, number 19, was so spacious with the en-suite and plenty of storage space which is always a trouble in these Blackpool hotels, but not here! Also in the room was coffee making facilities for that nice brew to wake up with and a tv with the usual channels and then 5 extra like Sky Sports, The Hits and Sky News. The room was spotless and nicely decorated.

I'm not usually a breakfast person but for the first few days I enjoyed the most delicious breakfast ever! First it's cereal or grapefruit with a glass of orange juice and to follow a huge hot breakfast...so yummy!

The hotel is quite big (around 20 rooms I think) but has all the personal, thoughful touches of the smaller guest houses in the area. For people without their own transport the tram stops both northbound and southbound at at the bottom of the gardens and there is a bus stop both into town and to Cleveleys way just a few seconds walk away.

Haved stayed at The Moorings Hotel many times and have never been disappointed.
Rooms clean and comfortable and with good views from the front facing rooms.
Breakfasts are huge with as much tea coffee and freshly made toast as you can eat. Evening dinner is good value for money.
Would recommend to both families and couples.
