“Peaceful and perfect in Blackpool”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

We booked this hotel based on the opinions of other reviewers and we were right to do so! Staff are friendly, the hotel is nice and peaceful, spotlessly clean and the beds are extremely comfortable!
I cant comment on the dinner as we ate out however the cooked breakfast was plentiful and very nicely done. The prices for the room and breakfast were more than fair.
The bathrooms were extremely clean and to a high standard. Although we didn't book a sea view I can only assume that the views of the sea were very good as nothing was obstructing the view. The location of this hotel is great for a peaceful stay in Blackpool as its position is off the main promenade away from the noise but still only a 20 minute walk to town centre and there is also the option to catch the tram.
There is a lovely little balcony and a game room with a snooker table and darts board.

Wayne (The Owner) was extremely nice and down to earth. This a great hotel for people who want a relaxed stay. No noise, no children, no stags/hens. We will certainly book this hotel again on our next visit.

Just returned from a 2 night stay, the hotel is very clean and comfortable the staff very polite and friendly. We celebrated our anniversary and we had a card waiting for us, which I thought was a very nice touch. Wayne on reception is a lovely friendly guy. I would highly recommend this hotel, and do take advantage of the 2 course meal deal they have it's well worth it the food is very nice the portions are generous and you get a bottle of wine too!!!
The room was immaculate I couldn't fault it at all and would defiantly book a return visit :)

Many thanks David for a great review. We're finding this a lot, where people book with certain 'promotions' companies in Blackpool and on arrival find themselves in a spot of bother so they turn to us for the duration of their stay. Anyway, it was a total pleasure to help out. I took a real shine to your mother and daughter who were absolutely fabulous to say the least! We look forward to seeing you again in the future David and family. Wayne on reception.

I have just spent three nights at The North Ocean Hotel; on arrival we were greeted by a very warm welcome. The hotel was extremely clean and tidy. The food was amazing and consistent throughout my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful; especially Wayne who spent an hour and half solving a problem! Nothing was too much trouble!
It made a refreshing change to stay in a hotel that the staff wanted to be there and they seemed to enjoy what they do. A great to change also, to have top notch customer service and consistency with everything - a rare gem!!
I would highly recommend this fantastic hotel. Many thanks for everything!

My husband and I stayed at the North Ocean hotel on 1st and 2nd August. Everything was 5 star from start to finish. On arrival Wayne checked us in very efficiently. He provided information about the hotel and the local area. Chris showed us to our room and carried our bags too. This was welcomed very much as I had packed for 2 weeks rather than 2 nights!

The room was amazing. Very big with lovely bay windows looking onto the promenade. We decided to book a suite and it was money well spent. There was a sun terrace directly outside our window where we were able to enjoy a drink in the sun between the rain showers.

The meals are absolutely out of this world. If you opt for the full English breakfast you will struggle to finish it and won't need anything until dinner. The hotel offers a 2 course evening meal for £11.95 per person. This includes a complimentary bottle of wine. We paid a bit more to have fillet steak and a prawn and scallop platter cooked on a hot lava stone for our main courses. The surcharge for this was very reasonable and I couldn't eat basic pub grub at home for what we paid for food in the North Ocean. The food was so amazing I wanted to bring the chef home with me! We ate in the hotel both nights which is something we never normally do.

The hotel is situated approximately 15 minutes from the North Pier and just a bit further to Blackpool North train station. There are tram and bus stops literally 2 minutes from the hotel so it is very easy to get about if you don't fancy walking.

It was our wedding anniversary during our stay and we received a lovely card, chocolates and bottle of wine to help us celebrate from the staff at the North Ocean. This was very much appreciated.

It is amazing to think that this hotel has only been open for a few months. To us it is perfect at the moment but the guys are still making improvements. We look forward to seeing the difference when we visit next July.

The reviews really are true. Book today, you won't be disappointed. Wayne, Chris and staff made our wedding anniversary weekend away a very special one. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

What can I say? uhmm, nice hotel and there's not a lot in Blackpool like this one, as most is trying to offer cheap deals but compromises in a lot of things. Breakfast is lovely especially their cooked ones. Room is comfortable with plenty of spaces and with a very nice sea view, we stayed at room 23 I think. Room feels like newly renovated and very clean. One gripe is the curtain was quite thin and during summer time, you get plenty of light coming in during sleeping time, bet it's not going to be a ptoblem during fall and winter.

Service is exceptional and we felt that we were well looked after by Wayne and the guys, for that we are thankful.

Many thanks for taking to time to write us a review and it was a pleasure to meet you both. You're dead right, blackout curtains are required in all rooms, however we've only been open for a little over 4 months and it's firmly on our 'to-do' list. Previous guests and anyone reading our reviews will know that we don't hang about and this will be done as soon as we get round to it. Please come and see us again soon! Wayne on reception.
