“A work in progress”

A nice hotel which is having a make over of all its rooms. Our room had a lovely sea view and was fairly big. The only problem we had was with the tv which was extremely old and if we had a window open we couldn't hear it at all as the volume would not go up! The hosts Steve and Trevor were delightful and really friendly. The only improvement I would have liked was someone coming in and emptying the bin and refreshing the tea tray. Would return.

Thank you for your review. I am really sorry that the television volume wasn't working but we have rectified the problem now. We normally offer a room refresh for guests and I apologise that it didn't happen on this occasion. I hope that you both enjoyed the rest of your trip and we look forward to seeing you again.

I enjoyed a truly fantastic stay at this hotel over the late May Bank Holiday. The location couldn't be better; just over 15 mins to walk into town, but peaceful enough at night to enjoy a good night sleep.

Being on the seafront also means stunning views can be enjoyed, especially from the recently refurbished guest lounge.

The room itself was admittedly a little dated, but the owners are currently undertaking a refurbishment programme, and if the standard of the refurbished rooms at least equal the lounge, these will undoubtedly be beautiful. Despite being a little dated, the room, bedding and towels were immaculately clean.

Finally but by no means least, I can't possibly complete this review without mentioning Steve and Trevor - two of the most friendliest and helpful people I've met in a while. From my initial arrival in the rain, Steve kindly offered a cup of tea and both himself and Trevor were great fun and friendly for the duration of the stay. Also, Steve cooks a great breakfast which isn't to be missed.

Overall this is a great place to stay and I'm already looking forward to my return visit in the not too distant future.

I stayed in the hotel (came from Brazil) for only 3 nights. It's sort of a budget hotel, but don't get me wrong. The breakfast is wonderful, it's within walking distance from the famous pier (and if you dare, you can reach the amusement park as well!), and the owners are lovely nice people, wonderful people. I totally recommend Collingwood!

We stayed at this hotel yesterday. The owners are lovely they made us feel very welcome and made a lovely cup of coffee for us even though we arrived a little early, they had plenty of local knowledge and helpful information. The room was small but very adequate and comfortable and everything worked. Breakfast was lovely although everyone seemed to come to breakfast at the same time we did not have to wait long and it was served hot and with a smile. WELL DONE we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Room 1 had a lovely sea view but was a bit on the small side

Stayed the one night, lovely people who run the hotel but the hotel itself needs alot of work. They are aware of this and are doing it up as they can. Off street parking free around the corner. Recommend staying there and would be 5 when the rooms are refurbished.

We came for a break for a birthday weekend, soon as we came through the door the welcome was fantastic and we knew it was nice and friendly from then on. We got free tea and biscuits on arrival and one of the owners was talking to us making very good friendly environment for us. We then got shown up to our room which was brilliant, just right. We got vouchers for our day out to help us with money, great nights sleep in a comfy bed and breakfast was fabulous. Would recommend and shall be coming back again.

Stayed here 3 times now and its always the first place we think to stay when we visit Blackpool. Trevor and Steve are super friendly always able to have a chat both really knowledgeable about Blackpool.
Rooms are great and Breakfast is a wonderful way to start each morning. Hotel is out of the way from the busy clubs but still get a wonderful view of the sea and the illuminations.

Room Tip: Lovely sea view rooms
