We have been several times and booked again to got back in November, we all way get a warm welcome from Ashley and Lara and they always go out their way to make sure that everything goes well and nothing is to much trouble. The Rubens is Spotless throughout and very affordable we strongly reccomend this hotel

Just back from a weekend in Blackpool. My normal haunt of the Seacroft has changed hands so we stayed at Rubens, where two of my friends had stayed before. We were made most welcome on our arrival and had a few drinks in the well appointed bar area. The room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed which afforded two nights of blissful and refreshing sleep.
We wanted to eat out that night and Ashley called and made a reservation for the six of us, which was very kind and done willingly!
Next morning we came down for the FULL ENGLISH breakfast which was cooked how we wanted it, as some of our party have allergies to things like eggs. Eggs were offered as fried, poached or scrambled (request these the previous night please). The breakfast was hot, tasty and served with loads of hot toast, tea and coffee.
So a hearty thank you and well done to Ashley and Lara for a comfortable and relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a little haven in what can be a minefield of accommodation in Blackpool.
P.S Love to Rex the wonder dog!

Stayed in Rubens 18/19 May 2012. This was my second visit. The hosts Ashley and Lara were as charming as ever. Spotless throughout with a superb breakfast. Nothing too much trouble. I would recommend this hotel/B&B to anyone who wants value for money. We will be back.

Room Tip: Just ask for what you want.

A lovely warm welcome and an absolute delight right from getting through the front door the presentation was spotless. Ashley was a fabulous host and nothing was too much trouble. Stayed in room 201, home from home feel, cosy but plenty of room with all amenities we required. Bathroom spotlessly clean, good sized shower with red hot water (as my husband likes), Posh toilet roll too! lol. Breakfast was fabulously hot, a good amount and cooked perfectly. Warm atmosphere and delightful banter. Parking wasn`t a problem, plenty of on street parking outside the hotel and a large multi story at the end of the road. Very central to everywhere but not noisy. Couldn`t recommend it enough, fabulous place, fabulous location and we shall definitely be returning.

Stayed 2012 May Bank holiday weekend with four other friends.
Rubens is situated in a great location and the hotel atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The hosts, Lara and Ash are very gracious and obviously take a lot of pride in their fantastic little hotel. The rooms are spotless and have everything you need. The bar is well stocked and very reasonably priced. The breakfast in the morning was the best non greasy Full English I have had in a long time with generous portions. If you are looking for class at value for money then Rubens is the place to stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 303 and it was perfect.

Stayed for the weekend on a freinds 40th birthday bash. The room was spotless, beds comfortable, bathroom a bit small but had everythingwe needed and was spotless. Food great, just what we needed after a night on the town and to get us going again for day. Hospitality great and good banter. Great service, they even sussed out parking costs before I booked.

All in all a great experience from start to finish.

Best we've stayed in at Blackpool. We'll be back!
