As my partner and I were coming to Blackpool for one night for a concert, we were overwhelmed by the choice of accommodation available. After looking for gay friendly, reasonably priced B&Bs near the train station with good reviews, we narrowed it down to a handful. (Rubens won because I thought the teddies on the bed were a cute touch!)
I was not disappointed by my choice, as Rubens offered everything we needed. There were no frills as there are in fancy hotels, but it was clean, the owners were very welcoming, friendly and chatty and most importantly I had a comfortable, uninterrupted nights sleep.
The breakfast was delicious and they took in to account my requirements as a vegetarian. They didn't rush us out for check out time and the whole atmosphere was friendly and relaxed.
There are cheaper places to stay available, but I was happy to pay a bit extra after having some horrid stays in Blackpool in the past!
Thank you to Lara and Ashley for a lovely stay and we would definitely use Rubens again.More
