“A great place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

I looked at the Tripadvisor reviews before choosing this hotel and was not disappointed. I was welcomed at the door by Lara and Ashley who are very friendly and gave good advice on where to eat and drink etc in Blackpool. I stayed Friday and Saturday nights and the hotel was excellent. The full English breakfast was tasty and not a sign of grease on the plate! The room was quiet, the shower hot and the bed comfortable. It is in a good location close to the centre and the promenade. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at Rubens last weekend with a friend, paid £45 for the room which is a good price for Blackpool, usually pay £50+ so can't complain at the price.
The owners were welcoming and friendly, cannot fault them at all.
The hotel is a stones throw from the train station which was really handy and only a short walk from all the popular bars & pubs.
The room we stayed in was quite cramped, although clean, it was basic at best.
I'm sorry to say the breakfast wasn't good at all, my friend barely touched hers and I ate only a little of mine.
I must admit I'm slightly disappointed after reading previous reviews maybe our expectations were a bit too high. I wouldn't stay here again but I certainly wouldn't tell people not to stay.

Great location for Blackpool north station and Funny Girls where we were spending NYE . Both just a short walk away .

After a bit of a struggle to park we were welcomed by the friendliest and most welcoming hosts we have met at a B n B , and after changing for our night out a complimentary drink to send us on our way for the night.

Warm , comfortable spotlessly clean rooms , comfy bed , free wifi ,
tea/coffee making facilities , tv , and a fresh cooked breakfast what more could you ask for in a B n B !

Will certainly be back the next time we stay in Blackpool , highly recommended

The Rubens Hotel is an excellent place to stay wether you are travelling alone or in a group. Myself and 9 other girls stayed here for an end of season darts celebration for the weekend. From walking through the door we was greeted with a warm welcoming and friendly atmosphere which made our weekend a fantastic one.
Thanks girls (Ashley & Lara) fabulous hosts
Joanne xx
