I can't praise Lara and Ashleys' hospitality enough! They make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk through the door, nothing is too much trouble. We rang 'on-speck' to see if they had any vacancies and were pleased that they had,we had to leave early on the Saturday morning (back to work) and we had to leave at 8 am they were kind enough to do us both scrambled eggs on toast eventhough breakfast wasn't until 9 am and proper coffee!!!Fab location for Funnygirls and the 'Handbag'!Highly reccommended!!!

A fantastic place to stay Ashley is an absolute gem she is very helpful in every way she is also a good listener and she helped me through one or two problems I had while I was there...........only downside was Lara as after paying an extra ten quid so I could stay a bit longer and have a few beers in the bar I was told by Lara that I was holding her up or stopping her from getting on with her jobs, I thought it was ignorant of her to say such a thing...............but apart from that I would recommend rubens to anyone its by far the best place in blackpool and I will be there again in august

steve from Wigan.

I have just returned from a 2 night stay at Rubens and cannot recommend it enough.
We were greeted by Ashley who was so welcoming and friendly that we felt at home straight away.
Our room was very clean with a comfortable bed and good sized bathroom.
The full english breakfast is to die for with a choice of cereal and juice as well.
We have stayed at a few B&B's in Blackpool but this one beats them all by a mile.
Also, Rubens is in easy walking distance to the attractions (5 mins from Funny Girls) but you hardly hear any noise at night so you will get a peaceful nights sleep!!

To sum it all up, if you are looking for a place to stay that is good value for money, Friendly and in a good location then this is the place to stay!!!

The hotel is in a great location, 5 minutes from town, the promenade and blackpool north station. Ashley and Lara the owners were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The room was really nice, clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Breakfasts were good, full english every morning which was well cooked, and you had the option of cereal too. Overall a good place to stay, I would definitely go again and recommend to friends.

From arriving Ashley and lara were there to greet us with a smile. We were made most welcome and put at ease by the relaxed athmosphere. Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was gorgeous and nothing was too much trouble. The girls were very approachable. Their knowledge of local entertainment and eateries was extremely helpful. We had a wonderful 4 days and can't wait to return. We both feel we have made new friends.
