Ihave stayed at the Thornhill now quite a few times and found it to be excellent in every way. Its location is superb as its just off the sea front so not far to walk to the beach or tram stop. As the Thornhill is in the middle of Blackpool your not far from the fun fair or not to far from the Town itself so you can plan your holiday or break easily. Gaynor and Steve are a friendly couple who make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The rooms are very clean and tidy with very comfortable bed,i should know as i kept falling asleep on the. There were tea and coffee facilties in each room and you get a chocolate bar as well.There is parking at the Thornhill which at Blackpool is a very big bonus as then you know your vehicle is safe. Ive left the best till last and the is the food which words cant do justice enough,the breakfast is just perfect with the right amount on the plate with thick cut bacon fried bread sausage fried egg beans hash brown all done the way you like it as both Gaynor and Steve will ask you how you like your breakfast so theres alot of thought there,you also get a nice pot of tea or coffee ,orange juice and thick warm toast. Its the perfect way to start the day. Steve also cooks an evening meal if you would require one and all i can say to the one i had was out of this world (chocolate fudge cake with ice cream- to die for) You must try all this out for yourself,all i can say is i cant wait to go back next time . This was the 2nd time we stayed at this hotel and we are still impressed. Not only are the hosts extremely friendly and helpful, but the whole hotel is very clean and presentable. The food is excellent and Steve's homemade soup is to be sampled and enjoyed. This hotel is situated on a quite side road just 2 minutes walk from the sea front, centrally located between the Tower and the Pleasure Beach where you will find the very high roller coaster, so everything is well within walking distance. The trams and busses are also only a 2 minute walk from this hotel. They do not have a licensed bar which is great as there are no late night revellers on the premises, but we were allowed to supply our own wine for the dinner table. Would definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and family.

The Thornhill is in a superb location only a stone's throw from the sea front and 2 minutes from the tram stop. It's great to be in such a convenient location yet still have peace and quiet, away from the main bustle. Our room was clean and compact and had everything we needed for a short break. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and a nice warm duvet. It was nice to get a little chocolate bar with our drinks - a nice change from from a biscuit. The public areas were pleasant and traditionally decorated with an inviting feel to them. The lounge was very nice and well equipped with a flat screen tv & Nintendo. There were also books and magazines, and plenty of tourist information for guests. Gaynor & Steve were friendly without being intrusive, which we appreciated. Gaynor made the effort to use our names and remember our breakfast preferences which was a nice touch. The parking space is a real selling point and quite unique for Blackpool. Watch out for others that may not have a guaranteed space! Breakfast was great - fried bread (not too fatty), sausage, thick cut bacon, beans, tomato, hash brown and a fried egg, as well as nice thick toast and cereal, orange juice, tea & coffee.
