It was a last minute decision to stay at Blackpool, took us ages to find a b&b that accepts dog especially a husky. Caroldene is located between the central and south piers. Looked nice from the outside, was welcomed by sue who is a brilliant host and would do anything for you. Sue was going put us in a room up 2 flights of stairs but when my partner said that I can't get upstairs (as he went in before me, we were heading out), she put us in room 5 up 1 flight of stairs. She made the room up for us as it wasn't ready for anyone go in. When we went in after something eat, we had 2 drinks at the bar which is very reasonable, sue is very friendly and welcoming. We went up to the room and it was very clean. There was a double bed, a single bed then in a desperate room with another bed or 2 in (didn't really go in and look). Also ensuite. Had a brilliant sleep. The breakfast was really nice and filling and let us take the dog with us. We will defiantly be returning again and recommending to friends and family.

A lovely big warm room, en-suite and hot water. Good strong wifi signal, breakfast cooked to order, nothing's been too much trouble. A friendly welcome on arrival. Between central and south pier away from the main hustle and bustle yet only 100 yards away from the beach. Agree that it's dated, but it's looked after and lived in which adds to the attraction for me. Very clean and tidy too. Wouldn't hesitate to come back and would recommend to others.

I booked for myself and a colleague one via Hotwire on a secret hotel deal. This was a great find and I'll certainly be going for a return visit. For the price it's exactly what you'd expect from a traditional English guest house. Alright the facilities aren't that of a Hilton or DeVere but I found them clean and although a little old fashioned, very homely. We certainly received a very personal welcome and were made to feel very much at home. We both enjoyed breakfast which was hot and filling and set us up for the day ahead, The Caroldene is just off the seafront and ideally situated between South & Central pier. I'm sure that the Caroldene will read everyone's messages with interest and be investing in updating their hotel and welcoming more guests to a traditional Blackpool, not the one sadly people have the current impression of as a rowdy hen & stag night venue.

Room Tip: Pre arrange parking at peak times as even in December it was hit and miss with on street parking

I stayed for one night, the decor is basic and dated. My room a single en suite was clean, lots of retro fit electrics all wall mounted in conduit, not exactly attractive. An ancient CRT TV and Freeview box, which were not exactly easy to use, no hot water in the bathroom, and I could not get hot water from the shower either. Breakfast was cooked to order and good.

we stayed here for 3 nights in july. Its a friendly place, and parking can be arranged which was handy as its not easy finding a space. The hotel is clean but very dated, The ensuite was very small and the shower didnt work very well. The breakfast was ok. its good enough for a couple of days in Blackpool. The good thing was the location, very close to the seafornt, and mid way between south and central piers, good walking distance.
