“great stay, very clean and friendly accomodation”
Reviewed 28 May 2012

booked a break for my parents who stayed for a few days during the recent heatwave. lovely room, (two double beds and two singles, and a brand new en suite for two people!) very quiet and clean. great value for money. the owners were friendly, without being intrusive. after staying at some shocking dumps in blackpool im glad to of found a quality retreat!

Room Tip: good rates on laterooms...

Me and 2 friends booked 2 rooms between us and did not have high expectations, however when they arrived 24 hrs before me their room (a family twin) was huge, very clean and a modernised shower unit normally reserved for more expensive venues,
My room was a double en suite 39 quid, it was clean, well presented and comfortable, good powerful modern shower, and although the decor was not space age or modern, it reminded me of stopping at an aunts or grans house,
Unfortunately I didn't make it up for breakfast, but my friends managed the previous day, and their review was good filling breakfast, not greasy and very tasty, so I'm jealous for missing out,
The dog that belongs to the owner was lovely and friendly but not in any way a pest at all, in fact we didn't even realise they had a dog until we were all checking out, I would reccomend this place and no doubt book here again next time we come to Blackpool

Don't know where to start. Friendly and welcoming enough. On arriving in our room, our bedlinen and towels hadn't been changed from previous guests! Neither of us have dark hair - not nice to pull the duvet back or pick up towel to find dark hairs! Having said that, they immediately stripped the bed and remade with fresh linen. The bathroom door didn't shut as the lock and catch didn't align, the window didn't open, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, there was no towel rail so we had to drape them over the bedhead. No loo roll holder so aerobics were the order of the day, and likewise no hooks on back of door for coats or dressing gown. The guest lounge was permanently locked unless the hosts were there or if it was breakfast time. There were also very little soundproofing as we were awoken by other guests who had to get up early at 6.30am who were talking in normal volume but it was as if they were in the room! The breakfast was beautfully cooked however so some small recompense, except for the fact the smell of cooking pervaded our bedroom as we must have been above the kitchen! All in all not a pleasurable experience.

Only 30 pound a night makes it a very reasonalbe stay, breakfast was lovely and served by very polite and happy lady. Rooms are basic, needs a few days spent finishing off all the DIY jobs but are clean and comfortable. Room 4 on the front is particularly nice.
best things for families is the adjoining rooms, excellent to be near to the children but you can shut the door and watch telly in peace.

Room Tip: connecting rooms for the kids

We stayed here for one night as a last minute trip and would happily have stayed for longer. The room was clean and tidy, bed very comfortable with clean, fresh bedding and we even received complimantary toiletries.
Breakfast was great, the owner was very friendly and we couldn't have asked for a better location - only a few mins walk to the bars, restaurants and sea front. All in all we would stay here again without hesitation.

We stayed here for one night and would recommend the place to anyone.

We paid £35 for 2 of us for b&b for the ensuite room which is a bargain. The room was nice and clean although the ensuite was new and unfinished with plaster still showing and just needed decorating to be finished. The bathroom was very cramped but it didn't affect our stay at all.

Nicely decorated room with tea and coffee, towels and soaps on arrival too.

The hotel is easy to find and a one minute walk from all if the bars like walkabout etc if that's what you're in Blackpool for.
