“SILVER SANDS”
Reviewed 12 September 2012

Room very small bed's small and lumpy. Bathroom even smaller you could stretch your arms out and touch either side. One small window in room 110 not worth the money we paid for the week but hotel was fully booked so no other rooms. Dining room staff slow menu choice only 3 that includes the salad , the food was nice but not much of it, but bar staff pleasant. Would not recommend this hotel we stayed 3/9/12 untill 7/9/12.

Room Tip: No to 110 and also 111

I Can Say That Everyone Was Amazing There ...... Richard Is Amazing And The Bar People Are Funny ...... They Let Kids Play Bingo And I Won Alot !!!! ......... Trams Are Very Clean And Afordable ................ THE HOST'S ARE FANTASTIC!!!!......The Only Bad Thing Was The Room Are A Bit Dirty (Blinds And Curtains) ........... Beds Are Springy If You Get A Twin Room!!!! ...... That Is Bad........... Drink Hours Are Good ..............If You Want To Get Drunk They Only Let So Many ......... OVER ALL ITS AMAZING AND I WOULD GO AGAIN!!!

Room Tip: Do Not Get A Twin Room , They Are Like A Single Bed And They Are Really Springy

This is Nan and Grandads favourite hotel in Blackpool and I can see why. I have now stayed here twice , the Hotel is great, food is fab and is known in our family as " Richards"

I stayed for a week in August and had a great holiday and want my family to return next year.

Great location. near the pleasure beach but a tram stop across the road.

My Dad phoned to place a bar tab for us as a surprise and all went really well.

Mum and Dad had a night at a posh hotel in Blackpool which was not as good as this Hotel. sometimes you dont get what you expect

I love this hotel and the staff are great and made me feel very welcome, thanks

Jake wm

Stayed here 20th - 24th Aug had a lovely stay with my hubby and daughter. Room was spotless had a lovely clean smell too. A little dated but who cares clean and very comfy great power shower and fresh towels daily.
Meals great for price paid not huge but enough for us. All tastes catered for just ask lady next to us was a very fussy eater but they smiled and gave her what she wanted. While another was served scampi n chips I never saw that on the menu! Lovely staff nothings to much trouble if they can help they will!
The Bar manager Colin was a lovely guy did a great job serving drinks,Selling and calling bingo introducing the entertainers as well as answering the phone and covering reception! ( not grumpy as someone said but BUSY )
Entertainment was great really top class singers better than bigger hotels I have stayed in.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Richard the owner was a very nice Man with lovely staff. They must be doing something right other guests have been returning for over 15yrs. A lot of them on first name terms with the staff great Job Richard!

First stay in this hotel and i must say it is the best hotel i have stayed in. It is about a 1 min walk to a tram stop which will take you anywhere on the promenade. Also is about a 3 min walk to the pleasure beach. The food is excellent and will suit anybody at any age. Every night there was bingo at 8pm then followed a singer or comedian. The hotel offers free drinks between 18:30 & 21:30. If you want a branded soft drink it is 50p or if you want a branded beer (Carlsberg) it is £1 extra for a pint. The staff are so friendly and are always willing to help you. The only downside is that the rooms could be doing with being decorated but overall i give it a 9.5/10

Just got back after staying a night at this hotel. Was a little mix up in the bed department from what we booked, this was swiftly rectified by the manager. Room was just right for what was needed (and a very comfortable bed unlike my last visit to a village hotel). Only thing I would change would be the curtains (blackout would be better, my little girl wakes up when the sun does). All the staff were friendly, could probably go as far as to say they enjoyed there work). Breakfast was lovely perfect start for the day.
