The room was clean, the proprietors Terry & Jenny were brilliant hosts. The breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful. In fact nothing was too much trouble!

I would say the only down side was the creaky floor boards on the landings!
I would be more than happy to stay there again!

Room tip: We had a room at the rear it was quiet enough.

Went for 5 nights for a conference, was a bit early in the season so was fairly quiet, but was no noise when there was other guests in,checking in was no fuss and the lift to the second floor was easy and convenient, room was a good size and the bed was ok,the hot water was excellent for the shower and sink and did not have to wait long for it to get hot,the breakfast was excellent and nothing was to much trouble, location was good to,only a 5 minute walk to the Winter Gardens, overall a very enjoyable experience and highly recommend.

We have just returned from a 3 day trip to Blackpool to celebrate my wife's birthday, we booked with Helmshore considering price and the facility of a lift to all floors. We were not disappointed. Our room was on the second floor with double bed; it was clean and bright even though it only had one window. En-suite bathroom, with good hot shower. Room was warm, even with heating turned off. Window opened so plenty of fresh air as required. Wall mounted TV, reasonable space, with tea/coffee making facilities. Very quiet at night, no noise from other guests even though hotel was full. In basement by dining room, was the bar area with pool table.
We were greeted by Jenny on our arrival, who explained all the hotel facilities to us. After getting our luggage to our room via the lift, she then guided me to my pre-booked parking spot at rear of hotel. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble.
Breakfast provided a selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt and fruit juice. They even had Green Tea which my wife prefers. A Full English with egg, sausage, 2 rashers of bacon, beans and mushrooms. There was also tea, toast and jam. Although the toast was already on the table when we arrived for breakfast and was a little cold. However, that being said, we were asked if we would like more tea or toast by numerous staff members.
We would definitely stay here again and would like to thank Jenny and her staff for making our stay perfect.
