The staff were very nice and friendly, rooms were clean and the food was very nice. I would recommend this hotel. The location is ideal and the entertainment was really good, we didn't need to leave the hotel at night.

Room Tip: I would advise asking for a room with a double bed as the single beds are too small.

Stayed here easter weekend. Two adults and young teenager we had a great time, staff where very helpful and very friendly. Hotel was very clean and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had room 110 and the woman who cleaned it was very friendly.

We stayed here as part of blackpool promotions deal and got it for a good for bed breakfast and evening meal. Breakfast was really good with a choice of fruit juices and cereals, followed by full english and toast.

Dinner however on a couple of ocassions they ran out of the ordered starters not for us but for our table companions on two occasion at least this happened which given the fact you order it at breakfast time for evening meal was really not on. The main meals themselves everything we had was nice the problem was the extreme lack of choice on the menu every single evening. Is it really too much to ask to have something other than fish in sauce every single night or mince pie. Now dont get me wrong the meals I had where nice but not the normal things I would have chosen as I ended up having salad two nights something i wouldnt normally eat in a restaurant.

The salmon was lovely that we had on the sunday night. There is a kids menu and you can order something from this menu if you wish.

The location of this hotel is Queens promenade which is the last bit of blackpool before you go into the town of Bispham and it is a bit far out but we knew this when booking and with free travel card not an issue for us whatsoever.

Entertainment was mainly aimed at the older generation and there really is not much for kids but we still enjoyed it. Sorry to everyone playing bingo as we kept winning.

the room itself could have been slightly larger as it was difficult getting in and out of wardrobes and stuff but it was functional. my only real complaint about the room was the shower. it was one of those attached to the tap showers. you run water threw the tap then when its at desired temp you change it so that it comes through the tower yeah great except the water then fluctuated between freezing and boiling. Otherwise the room had nice furniture and lovely decorated we had bath with overhead shower, tea and coffee making facilities, widescreen portable tv. Would stay again and to to be honest its really a 3.5 but cant give point 5. the reason being its not quite worth a 4 but its too good to be a 3

All in all a good hotel, clean, with friendly hardworking staff. it has free wifi.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your recent stay with us at the Boston on trip advisor.

It was nice to hear that overall you had a great time and found the team to be helpful and friendly.

I would just like to confirm the following choice of meals are served in our restaurant seven days per week.

STARTERS: There is a choice of 3 which includes a choice of fruit juice.

MAIN COURSE : There is a choice of 5 each evening which would normally consist of a meat dish,

fish dish, salad & a vegetarian option also a chef's special which can be anything from pasta to curry or sweet & sour pork to name a few of the specials on offer each evening.

( Not one of the above dishes are repeated on any evening of the same package holiday)

Then you have the childrens menu which also has a wide veriety of items on it including beef & cheese burgers or chicken burgers that can also be served as an adults portion.

Chef Francis also caters for all type of allergies and if you still can not choose a main from above then he would be only to happy to rustle up a request given time.

Deserts: There is a choice of 3

And to finish you are offered tea or coffee

The hotel entertainment is a mix of many genres old and new, we often get complimented on the top class entertainment we provide day in day out along with our food and veriety of choice on offer.

In fact many of our guests often ask how we can provide such high quality package holidays at such low cost and the answer is we pass on the savings that we make to you the customer ensuring you get value for money that will not be matched in Blackpool.

There was never a report of a problem with the shower in your refurbished room during your stay or since ( is it posible you were not using it correctly )

You have stated the following in your review:

Is it really to much to ask to have something other than fish in a sauce every night, just look at the menu above.

Hopefully on your next visit you will be satisfied with the veriety of meals on offer at the Boston seven days per week.

Best Wishes

Just back from a lovely 5 day break at the Boston with my 7 year old grandson. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. Room excellent. Entertainment good. Tram pass was a brilliant extra and saved me quite a bit of money. Well done the Boston. Will be recommending you to my daughter and son-in-law for an enjoyable, reasonably priced break.

We stayed here nearly a decade ago under the same terms.Bus down from Scotland/ Monday to Friday with Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at the Boston with a Travel Pass for all the time that we were there. Excellent value. We couldn't understand how you could arrange this package at that low, low price and still do not understand that. Wonderful staff (Do you all work all day and all night?). Beautiful location on the Cliffs. Tram and bus stops at the door. Cheap and cheerful. You might need a lick of paint and a new carpet one day, but, it is all very serviceable. All the staff give 100%. Lovely wee hotel. I recommend it. You should all go. And go again.

Room Tip: We had a front facing view over the Sea. Wonderful view but you knew when the early Trams and bus se...

The team would like to thank you for submitting such a positive review.

You will find it hard to get a better deal on a package holiday to Blackpool than what Blackpool Promotions & the Boston Hotel offer.

We celebrated our 30th anniversary last year and many who came way back then still come today. ( Says a lot we think )

Hope to welcome you back again soon!
