We stayed one night, room was very good value, clean and in good condition. Hotel has a fantastic location. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. Definitely recommended.

Just come back from stay at the Mardi Gras, our first visit. Very late booking, but they were able to accommodate us. We even arrived earlier than we stated, and they didn't have a problem with this. The facilities were good, good bar, nice comfy settees, large clean room and good sized bed. We both found the cooked breakfasts to be excellent, good size not overfaced, plenty of bread, milk, juice, cereal and coffee & tea available. Staff in breakfast room was friendly, quick service, and not rushed.
We weren't shown to room but believe this is a minor point. Would certainly stay again.

Just got back from a mid-week stay at the Mardi Gras and once again the staff were welcoming and friendly ..... The owners even kept the bar open late on the night of our arrival even though we were the only ones in there!!
We had a large room at the front of the Hotel overlooking Lord Street which was bright and comfortable.
Breakfast was up to its usual high standard.....and we just love the refurbished dining room.....it was like eating breakfast in a London West End Restaurant!!!! Well done Steve and Lee and all your staff.....looking forward to our next visit!!

this hotel is totally un welcoming, there is no atmosphere, no hello or welcome etc, we was told that they go into the room eachday, when we arrived we werent shown to our rooms or they did not offer to help with the the luggage, when we got into the room the carpet was filthy and with dirty walls, the next morning we went down for breakfast and went in and sat down we felt rushed to order the breakfast and eat it and leave as they would stand there and watch, the milk was gone off each day and the young lady which was foreign did not understand what we said and gave us breakfast of what we didnt order and she would not take it away, during our stay a old gentleman had to wait 25 minutes to order by young lad who wasnt with it atall, the overall experience was shocking and will advise everyone to avoid it, we felt that they were only interested in the money and didnt care about any customer experience atall
Thank you for your review, I am concerned that your stay with us was not up to your standard and I can only apologise, with regards to the welcome you received I have spoken to our Manager and I believe it is a staff training issue and we have put in corrective measures to ensure we get this right. I do however, dispute the rooms are filthy and with dirty walls we have a programme in place to ensure that all rooms meet our strict standards of cleanliness.
The dining area has times set between 09:30 until 10:00 for cooked breakfasts, we do not rush you once you are in the dining room we encourage all guests to enjoy their breakfasts that is why there is unlimited toast, cereals, hot and cold drinks. If guests are late for the cooked breakfasts and people are still in the dining room, guests can have everything but the cooked breakfasts. I will be speaking to the staff you mention in your review.
I do take offence to your claim that we are only here for the money and not for the customer experience for the past 6 years every penny we have earned we have put back in to the building to make sure our guests are given the experience they deserve when coming to and staying in Blackpool
1) staff not friendly not even can we help with your bags up the stairs
2)breakfast room looks like a brothal (WITH THE RED LIGHTS)
3)why enter the rooms to empty the 2 bins when ours needed a good hoover
4)shoddy bath room creaking floor and dirt around the taps and loads of mastic around the shower base
will not recommend or use again
Thank you for your review, wow you didn't have a good time did you, the good thing about trip advisor is that people can put exactly what they want on here, with in reason I think right minded people reading this review hopefully won't be put off by your comments especially when they read other more positive reviews left on here recently. All the staff work very hard to ensure guests are accommodated in a clean and safe environment, delivering also excellent customer service to our many guests, it can sometimes go wrong but we do try to put things right.
It is really funny how when I read reviews I can normally put a face to the person who has written them, but I can't even think who you are. One piece of advice I can offer is the next time you have issue then be bold and speak to someone who can deal with your problems in the here and know not stay here in August and wait until October to write the review.
