This is a good little hotel with a great young couple trying to improve it. Yes its old fashioned and tired but theres something of 'staying at grannys by the sea' comfort about it. We couldn't fault the clean, aired but warm room that really needs bringing up to date. Very plentiful breakfast ... endless toast available!

Just returned from a long weekend at the Langwood. We've al been before and loved it, and were welcomed back (after 2 years) like returning family. We had a member of the family temporary disabled (waiting for hip operation) and nothing was too much trouble, we had a rooms next to the lift and the stairlift into the main entrance was just fantastic. Even returning well after midnight (Blame Ken Dodd !!) Smiley was waiting to help us in.. fantastic guy. The food was just brilliant, and plenty of it, and of a very high quality, Manika was just the best you could get, OK the Rooms are not the Ritz, but for the price, in Bispham, with sea views to die for I cant speak highly enough of this little gem of a place. If you have a car, they will squeeze you in and out with no trouble, he even has a minibus if you are stuck for transport. If you are 60 plus I'll bet you wont ever look for another hotel in Blackpool .. we are all looking forward to our next visit, along with everyone else staying there too !

Room Tip: Ask for a Sea View, most rooms have it.

We stayed one night to visit the fantastic Blackpool lights. Myself and my husband had a sea view double room, and my brother in law had a single room also with a sea view. We arrived early hoping we could park our car. We had a very friendly reception and parking was no problem at all. They said we could check in after 1pm and that was fine. When we returned at around 4pm we again got a fantastic welcome and everything was as expected. The room was clean and comfortable. The en-suite was small but did the job and the shower was both hot and powerful. Breakfast service was highly organised and efficient and there was plenty to eat. The dining room for breakfast was busy and created an atmosphere of friendliness and "family like". The manager even knew the first names of some of his guests - very impressive! Our check out felt like leaving family - a hug for myself and a friendly handshake for my hubby. We will definitely stay in this hotel on our next visit to Blackpool

Room Tip: If you are single, then Room 23 - as it is a top floor. There are some creaky floorboards so being...

My friend and I spent one night at the Langwood as we wanted to see the Blackpool lights. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The beds were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was freshly cooked and of good quality. Thank you for all your efforts, it was much appreciated.

without a doubt one of the most welcoming hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff are extremely helpful and go that extra mile to make your stay perfect, by the time you leave you feel like family. The furniture in the bedroom had seen better days cosmetically, but everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The food was fantastic, all home cooked, plentiful to the point of excessive and would put a five star hotel to shame. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.
