The St Albans was a lovely place to stay with great breakfast , lovely and warm as this was february after all.Not much to do at nights with the kids but we were entertained by Carole and Allen in the bar,Allen playing pool with my two sons while we played dominoes and sang a song on Kareoke. All round a great three days,a bit late to bed but well recover from that.Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, highly reccomended.

Before we booked this hotel read the reviws and they were good but dont belive them. We stayed 2nights and they advertised bar, pooltable and evening meal, but they never opened bar , pool table, abd never mentioned food. The room was cold through the night so would not reccomed this hotel. THE HOTEL OWNER KEPT GOING ON ABOUT HER REGULARS BUT WE WONT BE ONE.

These Guests were asked on several occasions if everything was ok and they replied yes each time they were asked. They also used the bar each evening where the pool table was situated. They never asked for evening meal, only booked B&B . As for being cold through the night it WwasNovember and they had their windows open.We have good guest reveiws and we are dissapointed at this unfounded reveiw as the guests appeared very nice people.

The only problem with this hotel is the size of the rooms, everything else is great. The location is great just 10 minutes walk from central pier and south pier. The breakfast is lovely, Carol will be running around offering you more toast. Free parking too but check with Carol when you park up as the car park is on a grid where if someone is parked in front of you so you cannot get out, if you need to move your car ask at breakfast.

Just returned from St. Albans this morning where I throughly enjoyed my stay. I took my Mother with me who also enjoyed it aswell. The food was great and the owners couldn't do enough for me. I got their on friday and was given a parking space of my own and my car was safe all weekend. One way was the Pleasure Beach and the other the Tower all within walking distance. The room in the Hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I Slept like a log! So if your going for the weekend I certainly would return to this Hotel again and again as other guests have. Look forward to visiting St Albans in the future.

After our bad experience at the Camelot Hotel, Allen & Carole welcomed us to St Albans for exactly what we were looking for!!!!! Friendly couple, good rates, secure parking at front, spotlessly clean rooms, digital tv, great power showers. Each morning as kids can be fussy they`re breakfasts were cooked to order we had 8 children in total from 1year to 14 years all were made feel very welcome. Each day rooms were cleaned and rubbish removed, we were sorry to leave on the friday but were waved a bright goodbye by Allen & Carole, WE WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMED THIS HOTEL AND WE HOPE TO VISIT AGAIN SOON

we stayed at st albans for a week and we enjoyed every minute ,the staff was very welcoming and had information on the best places to go ,for the best of money.
the breakfast was fantastic and we couldnt wait to get down to eat it ,full english 10/10 for us.the bar was well stocked and the pool table offered a well good game of pool after a long and busy day of shopping. we will be visiting again in sep 2010 and will enjoy it even more.

i have just come back from a two night stay with my partner and our 6 year old daughter having looked at other hotels we opted to stay here at the st albans it was the best decision we made on arrival we were met by the owner (carole) whom we thought to be a lovely person who went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and our stay would be enjoyable. the room and bathroom were both spotless we had a sea view room the beds were very comfy. the hotel was very clean and tidy on our first night there we went down to the bar with our daughter and were made very welcome by both carole and her husband allen they had cards and dominoes that we could use to play with so our daughter wasnt bored or felt left out whilst we had a relaxing drink after a long day what with travelling and doing other things after we arrived with our daughter.the next morning when we went down for breakfast and was amazed at the cooked breakfast that awaited us it was fantastic as we were going out for the day and wouldnt be back till late that night again when we got back we had a relaxing drink in the bar where my daughter was asked all bout her day out by a very interested allen and carole overall our couple of days away were fab and relaxing we were made to feel so welcome by carole and allen we will definetly be going back and would recommend to our friends
