“Dancing Holidays”
Reviewed 2 April 2014

We come 3 times a year for dancing events/festivals in Blackpool and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere except with Chris & Lillian at the Fairhaven. Forget your big fancy hotels, the Fairhaven has a lovely home from home atmosphere, is spotlessly clean and Chris & Lillian make you feel like you are one of the family. The breakfast menu selection is huge with everyone's wishes being catered for and dinner is a varied menu of good wholesome food. The hotel is only a 5 minute stroll from the centre of Blackpool but free from the noise and hustle & bustle of a busy central location. Keep up the good work Chris & Lillian from Alan & Norma from Scotland - see you soon

Would definately recommend for a comfortable stay in Blackpool! Lovely little b&b! Spotlessly clean and very homely :) Its only a short 5 minute walk to debenhams and the shopping area and you can walk to the seafront in about 5 mins too. So great location if you do not want to be on the noisy front promenade. Chris and Lilian don't do stag and hens so was nice knowing that the hotel would be quite and family friendly. We are both in our early 30s and were made to feel at home as soon as we arrived. Comfy beds, cosy and warm, great tea and coffee making facilities (with biscuits) and a fantastic breakfast selection! Will always stay here for a trip to Blackpool :)

We needed a break from the norm so booked this last minute, after reading through a few reviews of other similar properties this one came out best and we were not disappointed.

We had a very warm welcome, the room was spotless and comfortable.

The breakfast was excellent and Lillian will cook you exactly what you want how you want it.

Charlie the westie was an added bonus what a cutie:-) (Allen say's sorry he really wasn't trying to pinch his sausage)

Room Tip: Ask about parking

I chose this hotel for its location and it's many great reviews on trip advisor and my overall score of 5 is well deserved, in my opinion.
Friendly, helpful and the cooked breakfast was amazing (and I'm fussy) and the coffee was great too (also fussy with that). There was a good variety of breakfasts available, so there was something for everyone.
If we were staying longer than one night then we would have definitely taken advantage of the bar area.
We came without our children on this occasion and would not hesitate to bring them back to this hotel if we retuned.
It is in a prime location as it is close to Blackpool Tower, Sealife, the shops and the Winter Gardens (that's why we were in Blackpool, for a concert in the Winter Gardens (Opera House)).
It's immaculately clean. I even walked about without footwear on because I thought it was that clean (again fussy about that).
There was an information pack in the room that had loads of helpful phone numbers, local attractions and recommended places to eat (a nice touch I thought).
It was great value for money and also easy to find.

This Hotel is top quality. It's the most thoughtful place I have ever stayed in. All those little extras that make life more comfortable are here. Non-slip showers, fluffy towels, tissues, toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits, even soft-close loo seats! ironing board, hair dryer. The place is as clean as a new pin, and has a 5 star (top) hygiene rating. The dining tables even have scissors to open those awkward sachets! Nothing is skimped. Breakfast was excellent, all cooked fresh. Nothing was too much trouble for Lillian & Chris. You will feel like part of the family by the time you leave. There are more than one "Fairhaven" in Blackpool, so make sure you get the right one! I'm glad we did!
