“Fantastic place”
Reviewed 2 November 2011

This is the fourth time we have stopped at this establishment and again what a fantastic stay. Beds are lovely and comfortable in fact you don't want to get out of them. We have room 7 which is a family room so there is loads of space. William the host is very sociably and nothing is to much trouble.
Breakfast is lovely all freshly cooked. Proper coffee not instant.

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 2 nights in the last week of October 2011. This B&B is a great find. The accommodation is tidy and clean, and the décor was modern and fresh. The shower was hot and powerful.

The full English breakfast was great, just the right portion size and had the best fried egg I have had in a long time.

The host William is a great chap, and very accommodation. He also has some great stories to tell and has a great sense of humour as well.

The location of the B&B is just right - you can walk to the north pier in about 15mins, or hop on the tram of which the nearest stop is about 3mins walk away (assuming the tram isn't packed and sails straight past the tram stop).

I was luck to get a parking spot on Gynn Ave. Be warned, parking is a nightmare on this street during the season, and you are not lucky, you will need to park elsewhere (either paid for or a few streets away).

All in all, a nice B&B with reasonable prices with a great host.

PS, I just noticed that the review below this one is from someone based in Rugby. This is no relation to me and is only coincidental.

The owner is a great host, makes a delightful breakfast, has fantastic clean and well stocked bedrooms. Ideal location and would definitely recommend. The children loved it and want to go back! Travelled with my husband and 2 children for 2 nights. No negatives at all for Rossdene House and I'm fussy!! ;0)

William is the most helpful and entertaining person you could wish for while on a short break or holiday. We were there for my sons 8th birthday weekend and to see the world championship fireworks, Spottless rooms, very welcoming bar and dining room great breakfasts ....what more do you need!!

William even moved his own car so I could park outside! how many people would give this sort of service.....We would stay again and recommend to anyone... Great place dont hesitate book your room!!

We are a family of four with a teenager and a toddler. William is the most welcoming host and managed to please and entertain both our children. For the teenager he sorted out the wi-fi and the toddler his little dog Mr Harvey came out to play. The hotel is the cleanest we have ever stayed in and the beds were all really comfortable. We had the family room and we pleased with it's size and facilities. The breakfast was the perfect start for a busy day and William even presented our toddler with his sausages all ready cut up for him to eat!
Nothing was a problem and we really enjoyed our stay. Rossdene House is a home away from home.

Stayed for 4 nights at the last minute, to go to the Rebellion Festival at the Wintergardens in Blackpool.
My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The owner, is a friendly and welcoming host with a heart of gold and time for his guests. His double room was spotless and had everything you needed to make your stay comfortable. He had a wonderful cosy bar area, which was a great place to relax and unwind in the evening and he would take the time to join you and have a chat.
The road is quiet where the house is situated and the walk into the centre of Blackpool doesn't take too long once you have got going. There are plenty of bus and tram stops on route!
His breakfasts certainly start off the day well and we will certainly be returning in the future, as we were both extremely impressed with everything.
Thank you for a fab stay.....
