Just returned from a mid-week break at this sea front, ideally situated hotel. Very welcoming, all staff very friendly and happy in their work. We had read the reviews and decided it was the ideal place for us to go and take our elderly parents for a short break. This was a great decision and the hotel met all our needs and expectations. Both rooms, one on top floor with seaview and one on ground floor were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellant, with a wide range of choices. The bar was well stocked and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed DJ Jo, who ensured we all had a good time. Finally I was impressed with the free, secured carparking.

Thanks to all at Blenheim Mount Hotel we will be returning

Room Tip: The seaview rooms on the top floor are brilliant

As a couple we booked this hotel on-line for a couple of days in June and from the start we were disappointed. The parking was abysmal, very cramped. After being given the key to our room we found it not to be the sea view we had requested but overlooking the rear of the hotel and the car park.
The ceiling tiles either had damp patches on them or were held up with toilet roll in the corners. The mirror had a large corner piece missing.....health and safety springs to mind,!! The cleanliness of the room was also sadly lacking, behind the chest of drawers there were used cotton buds as well as clumps of fluff and the floor had leftover crisp remnants along the side of the bed. This was all reported immediately to the reception and the response was, on hearing of the damp marks on some of the tiles "well what do you expect, even the best hotels have that!!" They were then shown photos of the other things described as above and when we requested another room we were told there was not one available, We requested our money back and were refused, stating we had to take it up with the on-line company. It didn't take us too long to leave this establishment and find another one, cheaper, cleaner and much more friendlier only a few hundred yards away. We actually enjoyed this second hotel so much we stayed an extra day.

Room Tip: Check the rooms out before you pay!!!

To Flutterbybee,
Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel and viewing your thoughts, I'm very sorry you felt that nothing was done but I myself Angela has not been informed of the situation when you was here and I asure you I will be investigating the situation, this should not of happen all my staff are very helpful and willing to make anyones stay at The Blenheim mount a good one. I would be very grateful if you could contact the hotel and ask for myself so I can find out which staff didn't report the problem to a member of management, due to you not stating your name I can not find out when you stayed or whom you are so if you can contact me I would be very grateful..
many thanks

Arrived at hotel to a nice welcome. Checked in and was told by receptionist we had a nice room. We asked about parking car in their carpark, to be told it full! We said one of reasons booked hotel was cause it had parking. Was nothing on line to say limited parking. Booked double room which stated non smoking and newly furnished bathroom! Well wat a joke that was, was like something from 60's. Awful!! Room smelt of stale cigarette smoke. Breakfast was very good, but was spoilt by a group of 4 lads arriving for theirs drinking cans of larger, they was throwing food around too. Prob still drunk from night before! Would'nt stay again.

Room Tip: Don't stop in room 6

Dear Sharon K,
Thank you for reviewing our hotel we are very sorry you felt the way you did about your stay our aim is too please everyonme who stays at The Blenheim mount but unfortunately people do have there own view and ways of how there holiday should be so not everyone can be please to their standards, we just try our best.
Regarding our car park it does state on every web site and booking page that we set up that the car park is stactic and limited which means once parked can not be moved until day of departure and also we have very limited spaces enough for 10-14 cars depending on their sizes.
Some of our double rooms have had there ensuite re-newed and other are still waiting unfortumnately your room must of been one that hasn't be done yet. If you had reported all the problems you have encountered to the receptionist as advised when booking we would of gladly tried our very best to change your room if another one was available to do so.
Regarding the other guest, we did approach the group and asked them to keep the noise down etc and we are very sorry they distubed your breakfast and do apologise for them.
We thank you very much for your review and take on board all your comments
