We stayed for the weekend as a family of 5, and loved every minute. We were made very welcome by Chris and Christine and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were great, clean, comfortable and have tea and coffee facilities which was much appreciated after long days walking about. Breakfast was smashing and set us up for the day.We walked into the town which took about 15-20 minutes and there was a tram stop at the bottom of the road if you need to use one. Will definitely be back the next time we visit Blackpool.

After looking at a number of hotels / b&bs on the internet, I came across the Kings Court Hotel. I then rang directly, (as it is cheaper than using booking.com and similar sites), and booked a family room. The lady who took the booking seemed quite helpful, took my bank details etc and offered to text me confirmation of our booking. I never received that text, but thought nothing of it.

The day came and we set off from York, a good 2hr drive with a 4yr old girl and a 15month old boy. We finally arrived, the hotel looked ok from the outside, so we knocked. A man answered who was very polite, then a lady came, asked for our name, she then stood and stared at us for about 10seconds like a piece of dirt (could have easily used a harsher word than dirt), then told us she hasn't a booking in our name! We were shocked to say the least. How can someone loose a booking in a hotel? We couldn't believe it. No even an apology!

Luckily after about an hour of trying, and a lot of stress, we found somewhere to stay called the South Lea Hotel. This was a lovely Guest House and the Family room was very spacious. The breakfast was lovely and the hospitality was great here.

I would certainally never stay or recommend the Kings Court Hotel! And I think the lady owner needs to learn some key customer service skills!

Once again we visited the Kings Court and were not disappointed. Chris & Christine are very friendly, nothing is to much trouble for them. The hotel is quiet, they don't allow any rowdiness or uncouth behaviour. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have generous tea & coffee making facilities. The hotel is close to the seafront, for buses &trams or you can take one of the smaller buses to town centre. The weather was good except for the rain on Wednesday. We will certainly be coming again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear of the hotel are quieter.

We stayed for a Saturday night in one of the family rooms - double bed and bunk beds. A little small but we liked the room, modern and certainly clean. The owners were both very friendly, and the location was very good - just a short walk of 2 minutes to the seafront and tram stop.

Breakfast was very good and made it all very good value indeed. We would stay again but for the breakfast time - 8:45am (we asked if it could be later and were offered 9am) which, on a Sunday morning with two kids to get up and moving first - and when we have to check out at 10 and have all day to pass before flying in the evening -was just too early for us.

If we had to be up and out earlier we'd definitely consider staying here again but next time we'll find somewhere that does a later breakfast option - even 10am would do fine - it is Sunday after all :)

We booked the kings court at the last moment and were not dissapointed, The area is very quiet and the tram is available every 12 mins at the bottom of the road to go into the resort .Although we never spent a great deal of time at the hotel ,Every time we arrived back we were greeted by Christine who seemed very interested to hear what we had done throughout the day. Yes we agree the room was small , However we did not plan on having a barn dance in there so it really made no difference to us. The atmosphere was very relaxing and friendly, Brekky was at a high standard which set you up for the day. Christine is a excellent tour guide who gave us plenty of information on areas of intrest. We met the hubby Chris on our last night in the bar for a night cap, he sat with us and again seemed very interested in us. Overall a very pleasant stay and would go back again for a short break in the future,

Thanks again Chris and Christine.

Hotel is nice enough but don't dare be late for breakfast. We arrived for breakfast 10 minutes late (our fault entirely, it's not always easy with 2 young children)) and sat down at a table. Christine was the only other person there and was eating her own breakfast. After sitting for 20 minutes without so much as an acknowledgement that we were even there, I asked about breakfast, only to be told "breakfast was at 8.45. Obviously your sleep is more important than breakfast". Not very nice and a sure way to ensure that we are not repeat customers, which we certainly won't be.

Thank you for your review, we do apologise that you were upset at missing your breakfast in the morning after being late coming down for it. True Christine was the only person in the dining room when you came down as all the other guests had already checked out by 10 am and she was clearing the dining room.
