I was looking forward to a weekend away... Then we checked into this place and my hopes were dashed forever.
On opening the room door and seeing no carpet, I knew things would just get worse. I was right. There was no room to swing a dead tadpole and the windows reminded me of Holloway circa 2000.
The beds were something a travelling dwarf would use as a 17th century truckle bed and the bedding was obviously purchased at the local jumble sale.
The only saving grace was the prospect of a decent fry up in the morning. Alas, this was also to be a mere pipe dream. On entering the reception/foyer/breakfast room, the sell of unsmoked cheap bacon hit my nostrils full force and made my stomach turn. The food all looked anaemic and smelt awful. The cheapness of everything was blatantly obvious yet they charged £8 for this delight.
Do yourself a favour, sleep in a local bus shelter or shell out on a night in a tent, but never book into this tiny, basic excuse for a hotel. An utter disappointment.
Do not bring your bit on the side here for a night of passion. You will never see her again if you did.

Ali

Room tip: Never stay here. Unless you want anyone staying with you to never speak to you again. So, bring your wife.

Generally good for the price.

The staff were able to accommodate a family of 5 in one room. It was clean and they provided extra pillows and sheets and a travel cot.

The male manager was a bit moody. Female staff were very pleasant though.

Breakfast was not a £9 breakfast though. If we'd known about the "cafe on the corner" down the road we would have chosen to go there instead.

There was a woman staying there that broke the rule and was smoking cannabis next to our GF window (next to the no-smoking sign) which was not great.

Room tip: Go to "Cafe on the Corner" for breakfast.

Basic rooms with the 3rd bed over the top. The pillows were a bit hard, but room (including en-suite), bedding and towels were clean. was Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all good value for money.

Spend the night in Ibis. Check in was straight forward, staff accomodating. Room was ok, it was comfortable and the place is clean. I just missed making coffee in the room as often as i want. I didn't have a choice but to go down main reception to get coffee. Normal coffee is free which is ok. Thanks to Booking.com it was affordable

Room tip: Room a bit small so if you have too many bags/luggage it might be tight. No wardrobe. Basic room but it was clean.

Great cheap stay. Good wifi in the rooms, very comfy beds, great shower and room was spotlessly clean! Nearby service station for snack and drinks and a KFC there too. Also nice to have the all you can eat buffet breakfast and snacks and drinks available in reception. Best bit was the friendly reception staff, who go above and beyond. Would recommend!!
