“Boot Room - CBA Tuesday”
Reviewed 13 November 2012 via mobile

Tom Carter and team continue to provide consistently very good food and CBA Tuesdays grabs you a complete bargain! £14.97 for 3 excellent courses and a glass of wine too - who could refuse? My partners starter of a classic mozarella/basil/tomato salad was crisp, fresh and delightful, whilst my brother and I both plumped for the moules mariniere, a sizeable portion of juicy mussels and warm crusty bread. Our mains were all excellent, the risotto was rich, creamy and al dente - minute steak tender and well cooked, my pan fried salmon was moist, juicy and tasty and skin crispy! The soufflé was fluffy and light - and it seems very popular with the other diners too...a glass of decent house wine came with it too...what a great value meal! Sister restaurant of the excellent Joiners Arms, Bruntingthorpe, I'll certainly be re-visiting the boot room. Especially when I CBA to cook!

“Delicious food, lovely experience.”
Reviewed 12 November 2012

The Boot Room was a pleasant surprise for us, as the choice of good (non-chain) restaurants in Leicester is rather limited, but I can safely say this was the best meal I have had in a very long time.
Our starters, mains and desserts were all extremely tasty and well made, with fresh, quality ingredients. I strongly recommend the grilled chicken with cabbage and lardons, absolutely exquisite!
Definitely worth a visit for a quality meal.

“Amazing Value and Quality”
Reviewed 28 October 2012

We had our first visit to The Boot Room on Tuesday 23rd October. We opted for the CBA menu at £14.95 per person for 3 courses and a glass of wine.
The quality of food was amazing - freshly cooked produce. We will definitely be back - I think it might be a Tuesday night favourite!!
I would really, really recommend it.

“Good value meal on Saturday evening”
Reviewed 28 October 2012

Really enjoyed our dinner at the Boot Room yesterday. Tasty food well presented and a lovely atmosphere. Plenty of space around the tables and arrival of diners well spaced out as well. Overall can't ask for much more.

“Very poor food”
Reviewed 27 October 2012

The pan fried chicken appeared to have been cooked from frozen, with the batter separated from the chicken.

The smoked haddock risotto hardly had any haddock in it and was quite a small portion.

Each course cost £10.50 which was very poor value.

At a nearby restaurant we could have had two courses for under £10, which we will use in future. We will not return to The Boot.
