Myself and my partner visited the Boot Room on 31/1/2014, this was the second time we have dined here. We liked the decor, very stylish and a cosy atmosphere, the food was delicious and when our order came out without fries (an ommision on our part, no fault on the restaurants part), the manager brought us some nice hot fries out within 5 minutes, the only negative would be having to read the lunchtime menu off a blackboard on the wall but generally lovely stylish restaurant , friendly staff, good wine selection and most importantly very tasty food .

Thank paulalist

I've recently dined at the Boot Room for the second time. The food is simple, honest, and satisfying, matching the surrounding (a tasteful regeneration of an old boot factory). The small touches like shoe lasts on the tables and exposed industrial workings gives the dining room character and charm. Service is OK; perhaps a little bit unrefined (although perhaps this is intentional, to match the surroundings), but dishes were brought in good time, and menu was well explained when asked. Spiced parsnip soup was warming, flavoursome and with delightfully crunchy brioche croutons. Calamari tempura was crisp, the squid not too chewy, as can often be a problem, and came with a nice sweet chilli dipping sauce. The lemon and salmon risotto was mild and light, yet very enjoyable and filling. The roasted chicken with garlic mash and red wine jus was unspectacular, but very accomplished with all elements cooked perfectly. The Eton Mess was unfussy, simple and yet delicious, while the chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream was perfect in taste and gooey texture, but uneven in temperature. This suggests it may have been microwaved. Overall, great value for three courses of this standard (£15 lunch/early bird) in an interesting, characterful setting.

My wife and I visited to celebrate a particular milestone in our lives and it was great evening. The food was incredible and my wife said that they made the best Cosmopolitan's that she has tasted. I would definitely recommend.

I suggested this place for our Christmas Meal after having been there several times before. Needless to say they made be proud as they normally do. The food was loved by all 32 of us and so was the atmosphere!

My steak was very well cooked and so was my creme brulee!

Thank you!
