Description: Occupying a former Leicester shoe factory, The Boot Room restaurant in Leicester, serves simple, yet special food made with fresh, quality & seasonal ingredients. The Boot Room restaurant has quickly become one of Leicester’s premier restaurants, supported by the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with just a hint of the buildings industrial past. We have a simple and effective philosophy to “Buy quality ingredients, treat them well, and let your customer enjoy the experience.” The Boot Room is owned by Stephen and Tracey Fitzpatrick who also run The Joiners, a successful restaurant in Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire.

I was lucky enough to win a competition with ‘Out there Leicester’ to get the midweek meal for 2 for free. I was quite excited as The Boot Room had been recommended a number of times.

It’s down a random street hidden away. Service is excellent. They are so friendly there and know a lot about the food. Everything we had was locally sourced for the most parts. The scallops starter was a bit salty but nicely presented. We had the chicken pie and the beef pie for the mains. Best pies in Leicester easily. All handmade instead of bought and stuffed. Really was very tasty. We didn’t have dessert because we were just too full!

I would recommend going if you get a chance!

Visited for the first time with family. The team were excellent, friendly, attentive and efficient. The atmosphere was fantastic. I had the lamb shank, food was amazing with a good flavour and very good value. Thoroughly recommended.

Received a recommendation about this place, and visited while in Leicester for a day. We had the whole place to ourselves so obviously the service was impecible! The food really made the experience for us (lunch menu 3 courses for £15.95) 2 courses was enough but we all forced ourselves to have dessert as the first two were so tasty! The gentleman serving us as the time was very friendly and made an effort to converse. The place was very clean too, including the toilets.

We visited here last Saturday evening with friends, we enjoyed the food, I had the lamb which was delicious, the staff were attentive, the restaurant was rather quiet considering it was 8pm, so it lacked a bit of atmosphere, however it was a great night had by all.

We went on Good Friday and the restaurant was quiet which was surprising as the food was tasty. I had arancini followed by lamb while the other three had scallops and venison. With desserts or cheese and two bottles of wine (£21.50 each), the total bill with tip was £180 for four of us. Our waiter (he may have been the owner) was very friendly and helpful. Give this place a visit if you are in Leicester.
