We stayed as part of a group for one night on the 19th July and have no complaints at all.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and our rooms and food was of a high standard.
From check in to check out every staff member went the extra mile to help us and made our stay very enjoyable. I'm not really sure what some people want or expect these days but we would have no hesitation in using this hotel again.

I'm afraid to say that I would not stay at the Holiday Inn Leicester again. It was surrounded by a ring-road and even though we stayed on the top floor the room was very noisy. The room was clean but dated and in need of renovation. In some positives, it was reasonably priced, the health club was nice and my kids enjoyed the spa and pool and the buffet breakfast was delicious. It was also close to the Highcross shopping centre and some great restaurants.

The last time I stayed in this hotel was on my hen night - 14 years ago! Although we do not live far from Leicester at all, we decided it would be a nice treat before Christmas and we made the right choice. although there were parties happening the noise didn't affect our stay, the room was comfortable and the staff helpful, we ordered a pizzahut delivery to satisfy our daughter which was fun, and we used the leisure facilities, which were good, the pool felt cold but it was to temperature - all in all it was just what we were expecting, the dining area for breakfast seemed a little dark, I think its the décor but it was a good breakfast.

Stayed with my family for three nights for my wife's graduation. Very child friendly hotel especially staff. Clean room. Good breakfast and meals. Location is great too as there are plenty of restaurants five minutes away. Shopping centre is close too. About 40 minutes walk will take you to the National Space Centre.

Turned up at 4pm to be told the room was still dirty, go and wait in reception. Had asked for a twin, got a double though I have to admit it was a huge double, still didn't change the fact that I had to remake the bed to make it suitable for me -tog rating and husband ++++tog rating - I'd have had to remake it anyway as the mattress appeared to be made of corrugations and needed a duvet on top to make it fit to sleep on.

Hottest weather of the year and the window opened all of two inches - if they say that you can request the window to be opened wider then why do they quote Elfin Safety when you ask them to do so. Couldn't use the aircon which sounded like a jet plane revving up. The hotel is virtually a traffic island surrounded by multi-lane roads and traffic lights - if you want somewhere peaceful don't even think about it.

There was a dirty towel hung behind the door when we arrived, I put this out to be changed along with another wet towel. Both were returned to the rack. They have loads of wall space - why not put in a decent towel rail so you can air the towels rather than folding wet ones - nice choice, wet towel or one used by the previous guest! Only one small hook behind the door other than the ubiquitous hotel folding towel rail. Cheapest possible loo seat, ditto loo paper. Soap, shampoo and shower gel, nothing else - they say ask for anything else, I did, and they didn't have it. No separate shower and a very high step up to get into the bath the use the shower.

No way am I paying nearly £11 for a breakfast (there is a Wetherspoons just a short walk away - you can get three there for the same price) and though the menu looked reasonable, e.g. chips for £2, in a wee corner was the fact that a "tray" charge of £3 pushed that up to £5.

What a greedy chain this is, it's not cheap in the first place. Never stayed at Holiday Inn before and won't again though I have stayed several times at the HI Express and always been very pleased with them.

Spent one night in hotel as we were celebrating our granddaughters graduation, and it was a very pleasant stay. Large very clean room, comfortable bed and very welcome air-con as it was a very hot day/night.
Great location with very easy walk into town centre and university.
Very helpful staff and a great breakfast the next morning.

Stayed overnight at this hotel.its in a good locatiin to the town centre, situated in a middle if a roundabout so can be quite tricky to enter when traffic busy.
rooms clean and airy bathroom same as any other hotel, though bath quite high to get into unless tall . breakfast lovely and plentyfull.
A few drawbacks is the bar drinks are quite expensive and parking is extra though close to the hotel.
would we stay therevagain, Yes we would.
