Long term resident (2months) using all the facilites on a daily basis.
Staff are mysteriously friendly with offers that disspear when the bill arrives.
Rooms are basic and without heating and not cleaned on a daily basis with hot water being a luxury. Tea and coffee is also not replaced when used with teabags remaining in the bin for days.
Biggest issues was the overcharging for a room when i was not even a resident and having to continually re-program the room TV. Reading the other reviews i can only assume they are false.

Room Tip: Stay elsewhere.

Stayed here In March 13 for 1 night,

arrived late and was welcomed eagerly by the restaurant staff who were very friendly and escorted me to my room.

I booked an "executive" room which was a couple of pounds more expensive but I expected may be worth it, free wi-fi, extra tea and coffee, refurbished room or something like this I was therefore a little surprised that the hotels interpretation of executive is triple as in there are 3 single beds in the room. I should have realised when I checked in and asked "Do you have any other guests?" and "Did you book this room because there were no others available?"

Putting the room to one side for a moment it the curry restaurant directly below my room whilst being an unusual setup was actually ideal for the business traveller and full compliments to the staff for both a very enjoyable meal and a real feeling of being welcome. I paid an extra £7.95 for a full english breakfast which was reasonable and nothing I could really complain about.

Back to the room........They had a flatscreen in the room and tea and coffee making facilites which are positives but overall the room was a little shabby and in need of a review. The tea and coffee was on what appeared to be a dining table, there was a fridge roughly positioned on the floor and not plugged in, the shower didnt fit into the shower head holder, there was holes in the bathroom door, there was plastering in the bathroom which had not been painted over and little things like the soap dispenser which was left empty.

I suppose my biggest critiscm was that I paid close to £60 through late rooms for the room and couldn't have paid less than £50 for the room through the site but on arrival there is a price list on the reception with rooms from £25. Although the hotel is not doing anything wrong it feels a bit like a kick in the teeth when paying double what could be available by just turning up.

Overall I would visit again sadly it would only be to go to the restaurant.

Stayed there from 24-27th feb 2013, wasn't sure if I'd picked the right choice when I arrived maybe I should've booked a big hotel, however all doubts were put COMPLETELY to rest! FANTASTIC service, FANTASTIC food and overall FANTASTIC stay! They literally couldn't do enough to help me, they were welcoming and friendly and I would 100% recommend heritage to anyone! Especially a guy nicknamed 'Ash' who worked in the restaurant, brilliant service and great conversation! The night porter was also very helpful and friendly!
Thank you heritage

The Heritage Hotel is a family run business and really cares about its customers. It offers really good value and the rooms are large and much better than you'd get in a chain budget hotel. It was really warm and family friendly. The best thing about the hotel is the restaurant, which serves absolutely fantastic Indian cuisine. While Leicester is competitive in terms of great Indian food, this was top notch, and if the restaurant was in Liverpool (where we live) it would be one of / if not the best in the city. To top it off you can get the food delivered to your room - heaven!

I spent 2 nights here. My room was basic but are clean and comfortable. Good shower and internet access. The proprietor and his staff are great, very attentive and welcoming. The curries are excellent. Continental breakfast was disappointing; juice, cornflakes and toast, a crossaint but no fruit. However, this was more than compensated for by the friendliness of the staff.

Room Tip: I booked a single room but was upgraded as they were not busy.
