Normally I avoid Ibis as in the past I have found they remind me of student accommodation. However as friends were staying here and it was convenient for the station I booked a room here.
The hotel was modern and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were simple but adequate and the bathroom was modern with a good shower.
I was even impressed by the breakfast. Only £5 when booked the previous day, the quality of the bacon and sausages were very good. I'll still chose the Sofitel end of the chain when it's affordable but I won't turn my nose up at Ibis in future when I want somewhere convenient to stay.
Thank you very much for taking the time to post your thoughts on here. I’m glad you enjoyed your visit, and I hope we can welcome you back to the ibis in Leicester very soon. Kind regards, Sarah Clarke
Stayed here on 28th February as my daughter had an interview with the university. Hotel is on a ring road so entrance difficult to find. Parking is very tight with people abusing the disabled bays. Parking is available across the road for £6 for 24 hours which we thought reasonable. Booked a twin room but were given a double - the men in front of use complained about being given a double so I guess they swapped us but was not really a problem. Staff are friendly and helpful, requests for extra pillows death with immediately. Did not eat at hotel but the town centre is a five minute walk with lots of restaurants and takeaways. Room was clean and comfortable. £9.99 charge for movies and Internet reduced to 4.99 but we declined as we're only in room for few hours. Tea coffee making facilities in the room and towels soap and shower gel provided. We were facing the train station but did not experience any excessive noise inside the room. The hotel should enforce the disabled bays as it would not be fair on a genuine disabled person wishing to park.
Many thanks for posting your comments. We appreciate all feedback very much and the team and I look forward to welcoming you back at the ibis in Leicester. Kind regards, Sarah Clarke
One of the reception staff by the name of AGNIESZKA went out of her way to accomodate to park our car (with disabled badge) in her parking space as all the designated disabled spaces were full (some taken by car owners withoutr disabled badges) I feel that the hotel should be strict in not allowing the disables spaces blocked by drivers without disabled badges.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your thoughts and constructive comments. I hope you will choose to stay with us again in the near future. Kind regards, Sarah Clarke
