We are regular vistors here, although it is only a small farm so probably not worth travelling too far for...lots of animals to see, cheap entrance/animal food & a play area too. Nice food in the resturant & not too over pricey and friendly staff too. Perfect day out for little ones

I have been to the farm a few times but on this visit September 2012 I was amazed at the improvements that had been made, interactive voice boxes to help indentify the animals and the way the staff interacted with the visitors. It helped that it was a sunny day and was able to access all parts of the farm. Somewhat surprised to read some of the negative reveiws I wonder what the agenda was there?. Well done to all involved with farm

Took our 2 small children up to the farm in the week, they loved it! A variety of animals to see and the kids loved the play area. They have just got a new aviary with different kinds of birds which was nice and different for a farm park. Went to the cafe for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the selection of things. There were also offers including 2 kids meals for £5 and 2 adult meals for £7 which was great for us as we're on a budget. Staff were friendly and welcoming, will definitely be back very soon. A hidden gem in the heart of the city.

I went up to gorse hill farm and cafe on Saturday as my grandchildren were keen to visit. When we got there the toilets were still locked and the farm staff were rude and not very helpful.
I also over heard the young helpers talking to a male member of staff about sexual intercourse. I think this is disgusting as the majority of visitors are families with young children!

I also went in to the cafe. What can I say, it's was a tip. They say the food is home made, this can't be true. The quality of the food is very poor and too highly priced. I recommend taking a picnic. Also the cafe toilets are dirty and smelly.
