After a heavy night with family it was a real restorer! Good value and well cooked. There was plenty of seating fr a Saturday morning and the staff excellent at clearing tables.

“Buzzy cafe with good food.”
Reviewed 18 February 2013

I ordered battered fish, chips and mushy peas. It came on a smart oval plate, with a separate small dish of tartar sauce attached to the plate. If I ignored the surroundings, it could easily have been a meal in a smart restaurant, not a supermarket cafe! The food was freshly cooked and piping hot and not at all greasy. It cost just over £5, which I thought was good value. I had a slice of carrot cake for pud and that was good too. It cost just under £2. This cafe is popular and there was a constant queue on a Friday lunchtime, but there were enough tables and service was reasonably quick. There were newspapers available for diners to read. If you want a good value and good quality lunch, this cafe is worth visiting.
