Last visited for the Simon Says festival. The hall itself is lovely, good layout and good acoustics. The gardens are well used for festivals giving room for 3 stages.
I only docked a point due to the lack of legroom upstairs and the lack of gents toilets.

We often attend a whole variety of shows at De Montfort Hall
Parking on the main road is the simplest and cheapest way to drive there
There are a whole range of shows and our grandchildren are always entranced by the shows for younger children which are produced

I've been going to DMH for a long time....possibly too long now. All visits for whatever purpose, including gigs, concerts and graduations have been characterised by the place getting very hot very quickly, and then audience reaction being amplified by the design of the place. And there aren't enough loos either.

Good venue for concerts and also some stage productions take place here (for example, The Mouse Trap last year). Not a huge venue, and not big enough for many of the really big current singers/bands (although Paloma Faith is coming soon, so that's quite a coup!) but a good, spacious, non-oppressive venue nonetheless. 2 bars, one of which has large sliding doors which open to De Montfort Hall Gardens in the summer, which is very refreshing on a warm night during the intermission! Celebrated their centenary last year with a lovely classical concert.
