“Paid for seated tickets and stood for over 2 hours”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2014 via mobile

Arrived 20 mins early for show and bar was so busy and understaffed that by the time we got our drinks there was no where to sit. We asked if there was any seats available but was told to stand at the bar. It was over a 2 hour performance and for someone who is waiting for hip surgery this left me very uncomfortable it ruined my evening.

“Great Entertainment - I'm not joking.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 December 2013

Set in the heart of Leicester alongside some great bars and restaurants this is a great place for some weekend Comedy. Part of a small well-managed chain of clubs JTT has been developing its reputation for some years and now attracts big name acts that you will have seen on TV as well as providing a chance for young up-coming acts to climb the comedy ladder.
We visited on a Friday and the compare, a regular who is a good act in his own right, introduced 3 more acts who delivered a great nights entertainment. Each was nicely spaced to allow us to refill our glasses and the event ran comfortably from 8pm until a little after 10.
The venue is upstairs and the stage is in the middle of one of the long sides with tables left and right and theatre seating in front. You are close to the acts and this develops an intimate but not threatening atmosphere.
Drink breaks are provided between acts and there is a menu available
JTT is also a key player in the Dave Leicester Comedy Festival - held in February each year - hosting big names and also the launch party.
I'd recommend a visit, check online for listings, as it is a great value night out for a couple or a bigger group of friends. JTT is Just the Ticket.

“most enjoyable night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 September 2013

this is where the old jonglears used to be to which i went to 10 years ago, and the layout seems just the same as far as i can remember.we went to see the lumber jacks on sunday, brilliant performance by all three comics. two of which i have recognised from live at the Apollo on t v, Stewart Francis and Craig Campbell, Glen Wool was the third and very funny comedian. we had a lovely evening with all staff being very friendly and helpful. we had the doughnuts they were very nice with a thick toffee sauce to dip the doughnuts into.you can pre order your food and drinks on line, to save time.there were tables to sit at around the room, in front of the stage there were a few rows of just chairs, and at the back of the room to the side of the stage there was a raised platform with seating. doors are open at 6,45 we got there at 6.50 and the room soon started to fill up. the act started at 8 and was finished about 10.20. i booked my tickets on line costing £15 each. though there are various deals you can get. they have an auditions night with new comics on and you give a donation at the end of the night i believe. you can get deals on some voucher sites to. i had one on 02 priority moments and saw another on wowcher or groupon or something like that, though you have to keep your eye out for them. we were able to park at the dover street car park opposite the little theatre, which for a sunday evening just cost us £1.50 in total. go and have a fun night out

“Giggles galore”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 September 2013

Staying in leicester over night we decided to sample the comedy here. Tickets were 12.50 pp for sat night. started at 8pm and finished at 10.30. There was 3 acts, all funny in their own right. The set out is diffrent to other places i have been to. The stage is in the middle of the room and all the tables and chairs are dotted around rather then just lines of chairs. This is because people eat as they watch. We did not have anything but people around us were havign chips and burgers or buckets of chips. Later people were having 10 donuts for £2 and bowls of spicy nuts. Drinks were cheap, £2.50 a pint. It was packed so best to book tickets and expect to share tables. Good night.
