“Felt new, clean.”
Reviewed 1 May 2012

Two night stay for two people (we paid £49 including breakfast per night). The room was clean (seemed very new) and had a kettle (though very little supplies - we brought our own supply of tea bags and milk). Our bathroom had a shower. The bathroom door became the loo door allowing one person to use the loo and the other to use the bathroom. A hair-drier was supplied, as was liquid soap and shampoo.

Breakfast was fine - self-service - with toast, croissants, scrambled egg, baked beans, sausages, cereals, tinned fruit, apples, oranges, delicious blueberry muffins, nice coffee machine, a variety of teas. The juice was pretty cruddy but no worse than expected.

One nice feature is that in the corridors at night the firedoors (or are they just sound-proofing?) are closed, giving a better chance of undisturbed sleep from noisy neighbours.

The hotel is in a bit of a grim-looking area. It's within a few seconds walk of the Walkers Stadium, but not a lot else. However parking is free.

Stayed in this hotel for one night on business earlier this week.

Hotel is very clean, modern and looks very new.
Car parking is free and reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast decent for HIE - standard buffet of sausage, bread, eggs etc.

The only draw back is that there doesnt seem to be any eating places close to hotel (which is right beside Leicester Football Ground). If you have a car, no big deal.

THE GOOD
Nice, modern and very clean rooms.
New flat screen tv's.
Comp toiletries.
Free car parking.
Friendly staff.
Decent breakfast.

THE BAD
Nothing that really stood out. The location wasn't perfect for me but great if you're in town to watch a footy game!

Overall great value for money and I would def stay again (and I'm fussy!)

Great if you are attending an event at Walker Stadium. Good clean basic accomodation. Would highly recommend for Walker Stadium events.

Room Tip: all rooms are the same, there is no "view" so it doesn't really matter!

I stayed at the hotel for a week but would avoid it if I can in the future.

The rooms are ok but they need updating. The TVs are old and only get 5 channels, the some of the showers are very poor.

The breakfast is very basic - tinned grapefruit, toast, scrambled eggs and sausages in a hot cabinet that look very old, tea and coffee and mini muffins.

The service can be very slow at the bar. There is normally only one person on reception in the evening and they have to check people in, answer the phone and serve at the bar.

The hotel is right next to the Walkers Football Stadium and is not near the town so you are limited to where you can eat. The hotel are ok with you ordering take aways and will even provide plates and cutlery for you.
